chapter 22: it's not what it looks like, idiots

   I'm woken up to the sound of the tent being unzipped.

   I sit up in a panic.

   Who the hell?!

   To my horror, Kirishima, Dunce-face, and Soy sauce-face all poke their heads in.

   "Hey, Bakugo," says Kirishima. "Have you seen Kai?"

  I glance at her. She's sleeping right next to me, but luckily, she's completely hidden in the sleeping bag.

   I shake my head. "N-no. Haven't seen her."

   Kirishima sighs. "Well, her tent was never set up. When Aizawa did his rounds this morning he found all her stuff, but it was uncovered and soaking wet. There was no villain activity last night, but she's nowhere to be found, and we're all super worried!"

   "Wow, that's weird," I say as I start to sweat.

   Please leave.

   I feel Kai begin to stir, and my heart drops.

   Oh god, oh fuck, they're gonna see her!

   "Whoa man, what's wrong with your sleeping bag?" says Dunce-face.

   Kai pokes her head up, rubbing her eye. "What's going on, Kitty?" she mumbles.

   All three of the idiots' jaws drop.

   When she spots them, she gasps and pulls the covers back over her, but it's too late.

   They all leave the tent, hooting, hollering and laughing their asses off.

   "Oh my god!" laughs Kirishima. "What the heck did we walk in on?!"

   Me and Kai exchange horrified glances. She frantically unzips the sleeping bag and I throw her off of me. I stumble out of the tent to where the guys are absolutely losing their minds.

   "It's not what it looks like!" I yell.

   "Oh, it's very clear what's going on here, bro," says Kirishima with a chuckle.

   Dunce-face flashes a thumbs up and mouths the word "Nice."

   "You shut up! I'm serious!"

   Kai emerges from the tent. "Guys, seriously, dont get the wrong idea!" she says.

   Oh my god, why did she come out here?! She should've let me handle this!

   Kirishima slaps his hand over his mouth in awe at the sight of her.

   "Not the All Might boxers!" says Dunce-face, now doubled over in laughter.

   "Do you want to die, Denki?" she says, blushing profusely. "We were just trying to stay warm! Bakugo let me sleep in his tent because I never set mine up, and he let me wear his clothes because mine were wet! That's all!"

   "You expect us to believe that?" laughs Kirishima. "We walked in on a total snuggle-fest!"

   "Hey! She's telling the truth!" I yell, "It was really cold last night! I wasn't gonna let her freeze!"
