Things don't feel like they used to. Ever since the news broke about Kai, the mood has been dismal at school, and now with Bakugo gone, things just don't feel the same.

Although my brain tells me I should go to Aizawa and tell him where Bakugo is and what he's planning, I just don't have the heart to sell out my best bud, and I'm totally at a loss of what I should do. I'm praying that Bakugo doesn't go through with it, and that he does the right thing and comes back home, but I'm starting to lose hope. He's been gone for a whole 3 days now, and nobody has a clue where he went, besides me. Some people think he ran away, but most, including his parents, are terrified that he's been kidnapped again. It's hard for me to sit with the fact that the real reason he's gone is arguably worse than both of those things, but I just can't bring myself to come forward.

After school is over, I try my hardest to socialize with the others in the class, but we just don't click like me and my old buddies did, and I find it hard to keep my spirits up when I spend so much of my time missing them.

I sit on the couch in the common area, resting my chin on my hand as I wonder what they're up to right now.

Is Kai really okay? Is Bakugo really a villain now? Are they at least happy to be together again? Do they miss me too?

And just when I'm having that all too often thought questioning if I'm doing the right thing by staying silent, I hear an audible gasp from Kaminari, who's sitting right next to me.

"Dude, check this out!" he exclaims, scooting as close to me as possible and shoving his phone is my face.

On his screen is a Youtube video titled "a message to the people", with the video feed showing nothing but an empty couch.

"What's this about?" I ask.

"Guys, guys!" Kaminari cries, beckoning everyone in sight over to come over to our sofa to watch.

As a decently sized group of other students crowd around us, I ask again what the video is.

"Just watch!" he replies.

Then, someone dressed in all black walks in front of the camera. I don't recognize the dark figure at first, but when he sits down, and I see the face of who it is on that dingy black loveseat, my heart begins to beat halfway out of my chest.

"My name Tomura Shigaraki," says the man on the screen. "I'm the leader of the League of Villains, and I have a message. But this time, not to the heroes. To the people."

While all of the others seem to be holding their breath in anticipation, I gulp in fear, hoping to god this isn't about to be what it think it is.

Shigaraki holds up a photo. I quickly recognize that it's of Kai, and I almost smile at how cute of a shot it is. She's wearing pink fuzzy pajama bottoms and bunny slippers with a white tank top, sitting criss-crossed on carpet that's littered with shreds of red and white wrapping paper in front of a tiny, sad-looking christmas tree. She's holding up a hardback volume of what I know is her favorite manga, with a big cheesy grin on her face, looking beautiful as ever. "This is who some of you may know as Kaiya Miyisaki," Shigaraki says, "She was a student at UA until recently. She got third place in the sports festival, and was well known at the school. She was known to peers as an energetic smart-aleck who always had a smile on her face. She was best friends with Eijirou Kirishima,"

Everyone turns their head to me, then back to the screen, like it was rehearsed.

"-and was in a romantic relationship with Katsuki Bakugo. She was well-respected as a smart girl with a strong quirk, and she was generally well-liked."
