when you receive an unexpected call during an award show
"Well done girls!" your manager said as she followed you and your group back to the green room after the performance had ended.
"After this, we'll just be watching the rest of the performances and then an award that you guys are nominated in" she said as we were getting our make up touched up quickly before heading back out to our seats.
"Taehyung couldn't keep his eyes off you" Lia, one of your member, said.
You couldn't help but shake your head and blush at that. It was true cause everytime you glanced at him, he would already be looking. Right after your make up was touched up, your group went back out to your seats.

Halfway through the show, you suddenly got an uneasy feeling. Like something bad happened or will happen. You brushed it off thinking that it could be the feeling of nervousness for the award your group was nominated in.
"Y/N, you need to come back stage" one of the staff said after making her way over to you.
"What for?" you asked, just as confused as the girls were.
"Your manager wants to speak to you, the girls will stay here" she said.
You followed her to meet your manager who looked at you with sympathy. She walked to you and gave you a warm hug.
"Did something happen?" you asked.
"I'm sorry Y/N, your mom called. Your grandfather had passed away" she said.
You felt your heart drop to your stomach. You tried to hold back the tears but you felt yourself getting weak and falling down to the floor. Your manager tried to hold you up but you broke down. She squat down to you and rubbed your back as you were at your breaking point. You didn't care if other artists or staff saw you like this. You didn't care about anything. All you wanted to do is go home. Go home to him.
"I want to go home" you sobbed.
"Alright, I'll call Mr Park to drive your back home. Do you want to call your mom?" she said.
You nodded and she handed you the phone after dialling your mom. She brought you to the green room where it was more private.
"I'll be back. I'll just inform the girls," she said before leaving the room to give you more space.
"Darling, I'm so sorry... grandpa is not here anymore" she said.
"I can't believe it... what happened? When? I'm so sorry I wasn't there" you cried.
"He passed in his sleep... It was unusual that he wasn't awake early so I went to check and he was gone...I'm sure he's doing well up there.." your mom sobbed.
"I'm coming home mom... i'm sorry"
"Don't be sorry baby... he's very proud of you. He was excited to watch you perform today... and he was rooting for you to win that award, he's watching baby. He's proud of you"
You couldn't help but felt more tears fall. You started sobbing.
Whereas, outside, the girls was already informed about the news. They wanted to go to you but the award that they were nominated was going on now.
"And the winner is... [ your group name ]!" the announcer said.
Your group stood up shocked that you all won the award. However, their heart didn't feel full as they knew you were probably at your lowest. Taehyung looked at the group confused trying to figure out why you were not there to receive the award.
"Thank you to our fans for supporting us throughout our whole journey. Y/N is not here to receive an award as there was something unfortunate that came up, more information will be released soon. Please give her lots of love and support as she is going through something painful. Thank you everyone again," Lia said.
Taehyung's eyebrows furrowed. Without thinking, he went straight backstage without in forming any of the members. Namjoon looked and made Jimin follow him in case anything happens.
"Where's Y/N?" he asked as he saw your manager walking along the hallway.
"She's in the green room. Her grandfather had passed away" she said.
"Huh? Really?" he asked shocked.
He then rushed to the green room to be with you. He opened the door and saw you on the sofa crying talking to your mom. When your eyes met his, you immediately broke down even more. Taehyung made his way over to you and held you in his arms as you cried.
"He's gone Tae..." you cried.
"I know baby... he's in a better place, he's proud of you. You guys won the award" he said rubbing her back kissing her head.
"I'm going home soon" you said.
"I'll follow. I don't want you to be alone right now, I want to be with you through this" he said.
"You can't, everyone will suspect" you said shaking your head.
"I don't care. I'll follow you. that's it." he said.
"I can't believe he's gone" you said as you laid your head on his shoulder.
You heard a knock on the door and Jimin walked in.
"Hey Y/N, I heard what happen. I'm sorry. Taehyung, be with her. I'll just tell Namjoon hyung what happened," Jimin said making his way over to you two to give you a hug.
"Thanks Jimin" you said.
"He's proud of you. We're proud of you too" he said smiling assuringly.
"I'll be following her back home for the funeral," Taehyung said and Jimin nodded.
Soon, your manager came and told you that Mr Park had arrived.
Taehyung held you as you both made your way to the car that was waiting for you. Throughout the whole journey, you looked out the window as you laid your head on Tae's shoulder. He held your hand, rubbing your hand soothingly. He would kiss your head a few times.
When BTS won awards and Taehyung wasn't present to receive it together with them, it sparked some rumour about your disappearance and his disappearance. But that was the last thing in his mind right now. The boys too were not so worried about the rumours that could possibly affect the group because they would've done the same if their partner was facing something similar. They cared about you too.
