"Have you seen the young master?" The Crown Prince asked the knight who was guarding the halls.
The latter responded by nodding his head and pointing to a certain direction.
"I have seen the young master head towards the palace's library, your highness" He said respectfully before bowing his head down.
Asher thanked him before he started trudging towards the palace's library. His breath was slightly fast and his heart was in his throat.
The excitement and nervousness he's currently feeling right now heightened his senses and he could feel everyone looking at his direction.
Not that he cares or anything, he's a prince, attention was meant to be directed at him the day he was born.
But there was something that he could not seem to settle himself with.
That's right.
The knights guarding the entrance of the palace's library gladly opened the door for the Crown Prince and Asher entered the premises.
"Greetings, your highness" The librarian spoke her greetings and Asher greeted the old woman back.
"Greetings, Lady Prem, I am here to look for the young master" He did not want to waste any more time so he directly asked.
The librarian smiled in return and pointed at a certain section inside the place.
"The young master went to the very back of the library where Hamiel's books are placed, your highness. He is by the window" Asher thanked her before making his way through the rows and columns of books inside.
The palace's library was spacious enough to house a thousands of individuals with a space remaining for them to freely move.
Being humungous enough, it took Asher quite a few minutes before he reached the section of the library where the esteemed young master would be.
It had been an entire week now since the event at the town square where the War Commander was about to be beheaded happened. Some were distraught due to the unpleasant happenings but everything seemed to go back to normal.
It was because the young master himself had woken up.
Was there even a point to continue the trial when the hero who saved everyone during the catastrophic event had opened his eyes from a long time slumber?
The young master had the biggest influence with the matter.
The War Commander was his knight and at the same time, he had the highest position from anyone else who had control over the situation.
If he wanted to appease the War Commander's doings, he simply needs to say it and everything would be over.
When he reached the final row where Hamiel's books were located Asher stopped for a second. He needed to calm himself down because right behind the shelves would be the young master.
"Haaah" He breathed hard as he was nervous himself.
Never did he feel so much nervousness from another person in his entire life but this one.
The golden sword attached on his side made a small noise as Asher leaned on the bookshelf for a short second.
It was already the official start of winter but it felt like he was inside a hot spring with how much his hands were sweating and small beads were running down his forehead.
