"F-Father?" A small voice from outside the door called out.
"Come in, Raegan," Ciaran responded and slowly, the door opened revealing a small boy with cerulean eyes and a tall frame even at only the age of three.
"Father! I... I made a new necklace for dad!" He proudly spoke as his little feet carried him to the edge of the bed which then dipped when Raegan leaned in to try and get up the tall material.
However, despite his efforts to climb, the bed was too high and his tall frame could not make up for it.
Chuckling at his son's silliness, Ciaran grabbed Raegan under his arms and lifted him to the bed.
"Oh, what happened to dad, father?" The small dragon inquired when it saw his dad laying on his father's arm sleeping soundly.
"He's tired," he spoke before combing his fingers through the other king's hair who groaned; pleased with the action.
"Dad... did he fight the bad guys again, father? He has many wounds!" Raegan exclaimed when he saw the small patches of red marks on his dad's skin. The porcelain color was now tainted with the unpleasant-looking red marks which Raegan thought were from the aftermaths of a battle.
"No, your dad did not fight the bad guys. He just did something with your father." Ciaran almost blurted out that Pier was asleep after they made love for hours now and was resting.
But he remembered that his attendant, Fluffy, always reprimanded him of his words around the prince.
'Your majesty! Prince Raegan is too young for such information!' He could clearly remember the words the dead fairy spoke of.
"Can you let me see the new stone you made?" Ciaran asked and Raegan happily nodded his head before searching his pockets for the said jewelry.
He then brought out a simple-looking necklace that had small round beads attached on a string.
"This is nice," Ciaran commented when the stones made out of jadeite, some of the most expensive stones in the world, sparkled under the faint light given by the enormous chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
"Yes! Uncle Giddy and the other vampires helped me create that, father!" Raegan's voice was laced with gladness and vigor as his blue eyes sparkled too.
The necklace was green, just like his father's eyes but Raegan wanted to give it to Pier who had been wearing the same necklace again for the past week.
"You can give this to your dad later when he regains his strength, Raegan." Ciaran then rubbed Raegan's squishy cheeks full of baby fat.
"Okay! Then I will go out and have fun with the other vampires now, father!"
It was already close to dusk and soon, the entire fourth mountain would be filled with beautiful lights that were placed by the vampires on every tree.
"Make sure your uncle is with you and get back to the palace before dinner," Ciaran reminded him wherein Raegan smiled before hopping off the bed with his legs.
When the child was no longer inside the room, Ciaran lightly laughed again while looking at the man in his arms.
"I want our next child to look like you again," he muttered in a low voice and kissed Pier's forehead.
How great would it be if the palace was filled with royal children who take after the white-haired king?
Ciaran was excited at the thought.
