"A... A god..." Henry muttered wherein Pier only stood in front of him.

"Do as I wish or give me nothing at all," he commented and Henry remained kneeling on the floor, contemplating about what to do with this.

The Taron kingdom was a nation that had no absolute deity reigning over it. The territory was open to many religious practices yet most of the citizens have been worshipping the goddess of flames.

But right in front of him was the one who drove the enemies away from their kingdom.

The man who enclosed the capital in his flames and trapped the invaders like insects with nowhere to run.

And that man was asking him that he would be revered as a god by the kingdom.

It was something that Henry could not do in an instant.

Even if he was a king – no, even if he was an emperor, he could never make someone a god just because they wished it.

He could provide money, fame, and many more if Pier desired it but a god?

How could he do that – how could a mortal human make someone a god?

"I... I cannot do that. I cannot make you into a god-" But he stopped talking when Pier took another step closer towards him.

"I did not say you would make me a god." Pier lowered his body as he crouched to meet the king eye-to-eye.

"I told you to instruct your people to worship me like one," he reached out and pointed to Henry's forehead wherein the king looked at him with absolute fear.

Pier liked the expression on Henry's face.

There was anxiety, there was nervousness, there was terror.

The red-haired king was experiencing many things at once and he was glad he got to see the sight in front of him.

But it, too, was fleeting.

"I can turn myself into an actual god if I wanted to," he whispered and soon got back up.

"Three wishes, Henry. Remember those. The name of Pier Belmiunde will be spoken amongst the citizens of Taron for years to come. They will revere his name and pray for him when they are sick. People will call for his presence when they are at their worst." He was walking back to the spot where he sat.

"I will forget all of the things you have done towards him. Towards Pier who was an innocent soul taken by the world." When he reached the seat he sat on earlier, Pier gazed at the Crown Prince and saw that Asher was still in a trance while looking at Raegan.

"Asher," Pier called and the prince was snapped out of his millions of thoughts.

"Y-Yes?" He sniffed as he spoke.

"I need to talk with you for a short moment-"

"NO! PLEASE DO NOT KILL MY SON! DO NOT KILL ASHER!" Henry begged again and stood from his kneeling position. He instantly ran towards Pier and pleaded like a beggar asking for food.

Yet Pier's eyes were emotionless.

"Please... Pier... I beg of you... my son..." Henry started to cry at his feet but Pier still did not respond.

He really had no other business here in the first place aside from telling the royals of Taron to contact the people from Belmaid so they can sort out the agreement between capturing Cresencia.

But because of another variable, Pier needed to go and speak all of this.

He already lived life beautifully.
