"Pier, what's wrong?" Ciaran asked him with a concerned look on his face.

Pier's hands were trembling as he continued to watch Caspian's dying figure.

The confessions, the probabilities, the instances. All of the while, he had been having someone who constantly tries to break in his personal space and take advantage of his vulnerability.

He couldn't have imagined someone would even dare to and it was from someone whom he did not truly expect.

"Have you recorded all of that?" He inquired and Ciaran nodded his head.

A shadow from the front lines brought out a spherical magic device and he handed it to the young master. Pier observed as the shining orb in the shadow's hands.

"Every single word he had said, I've recorded it here just as you have wanted." The prince nudged his nose in Pier's neck again and was softly kissing it.

"Will you forgive me now? I know it was impulsive of me to take you here and tell you I'm torturing someone from the kingdom." The vampire prince asked with his desperate and pleading voice.

He took Pier abruptly in the Mir Mountains just because he wanted Pier to witness the death of someone who tried to assault him.

"I'm sorry. Most of my shadows are looking for your knight now. I will find him in no time. I promise." The feathery kisses were continuously landing on Pier's neck.

"Please forgive me, Pier. It was irrational of me." Pier was of course, desperate in looking for Gideon but Ciaran suddenly took him here.

But he wasn't mad at the prince. Instead, he was thankful.

He was grateful towards the vampire prince who was taking out people that threatened him one by one.

"What would I do without you?" The young master hummed as he grabbed Ciaran's chin and had the prince face him properly.

"It's my duty to keep you safe, Pier."

Ciaran's words were truly comforting. Each and every time Pier finds himself in a predicament, the vampire prince would be there to aid him. Even behind his back, Ciaran was still doing everything for him.

The flashes of memories from his past were playing in Pier's mind right now. Back in his life as Eliam, as the wretched prodigy who was used by everyone.

As someone who was also assaulted by those he considered as friends.

They were making him scared and terrified.

Pier hated having the memories resurface after he had decided to start moving on while trying to heal the scars. He despised every single moment.

Now that it almost happened to him in uncountable times, it was starting to trigger him violently. It was reopening the wounds that he stitched close himself.

However, Pier couldn't reach the point of self-grievance once more just as he did before.

He had Ciaran beside him to do the biddings he couldn't do.
