"The young master looks nice." Gideon commented as he was riding his horse.

Pier stood on a distance with both the crown prince and the young duke fawning over him as if they were seeing whom Pier would notice the most.

'He looks tired.' The knight thought as his horse neighed.

It was now the time for their journey towards the Yuko Boundary and they were only awaiting the most important individuals on the trip.

Pier and Asher.

After a few more minutes of talking, Gideon saw Pier get up in his carriage.

---

"This is well cooked." The young master commented and Gideon who heard the comment from a distance smiled.

"Yes, young master. It is one of the basic knight skills. Knowing how to cook meat from the forest for them to survive especially under circumstances." He responded and Pier nodded his head while he chewed.

Gideon tried to stop the chuckle from coming out of his mouth as Pier looked like a squirrel that was stuffing food in its cheeks.

"I see. I'd be glad to eat more of this from now on." The smile continued to linger on Gideon's face when he heard Pier's words.

'Did he no longer remember me?' He inquired since Pier did not really notice that it was the knight who gave the flowers for him.

"Of course, young master. We will do our best to serve you."

---

"You." Gideon was arranging his things for their quick stop at the Sokran Forest when he heard someone speak to him. Turning his head, his eyes widened and he immediately straightened his posture and walked with dignity towards Asher.

"I heed your call, your highness." He spoke with unwavering voice.

"Follow the young master. Protect him if something bad happens." The prince spoke which surprised Gideon.

'Since when did the prince care about the young master's safety?' He inquired himself but followed nonetheless.

'His highness sure changed a lot these past days ever since he started interacting with Young Master Pier.' He concluded as he went into the direction where Pier had tread earlier.

He had been anticipating this trip so much because he missed having trips.

The orphanage wasn't financially stable enough to support trips outside the capital and on to other places in the kingdom.

Gideon desired to see other places such as the Yuko Boundary where snow would probably be and he also wanted to see the young master more.

He did not know why, there was this unexplainable allure Pier was exuding that people could not ignore.

It was as if an invisible force was pulling their heads and turning it in the direction where Pier stood.

Even greater than a royal, the young master was an astounding individual that many could not help but notice despite not doing anything.

Gideon was one of those people.

Ever since their encounter at the Western Area and the palace's hallway, he found himself getting more and more drawn towards Pier.
