A/N: Cheers for the 200 chapters in this duology!

Song is Adele's "Make You Feel My Love". Highly recommended to listen in it on repeat for a better reading experience.

"H-Huh..." Dumbfounded with what he just heard; Ciaran sat on the stool whilst his eyes were wide.

"L-Love... me?" His hands shook for a moment and his chest pounded quite loudly, enough for him to hear it in his ears.

"Yes, I think I do love you." Pier chuckled but Ciaran could not comprehend the thought completely.

"Huh..." He inquired again with still the astounded gaze.

"P-Pier... Are you... out of your mind?"

To say that his eyes became as wide as saucer plates would be an understatement.

The white-haired Pier only stared at him in understanding.

Afterall, it was too sudden for him to say such thing out loud. However, it was first time for Pier to admit an emotion he did not feel for his entire life either.

He had no clue what he should do.

Prepare a party? Take Ciaran on a vacation trip? Propose?

All sounded quite dumb in his mind so he just spoke it out loud.

"Maybe I am, Fenrir." He chuckled and stood from his seat. The furniture made a screeching noise as it was moved.

"Where are you going..." Ciaran's weak voice resonated inside the room and Pier turned his gaze on the vampire king.

"Outside."

"O-Outside?!"

"Yeah, I want to see the entirety of this kingdom."

The nonchalance was hitting Ciaran hard.

How could someone confess they love another person and then do their duties right after as if they did not just drop a bomb on the other person?

"Pier, wait!" He also stood up and grabbed Pier's hand making the latter halt in his movements.

Ciaran's head was lowered as his grip was tight.

"Is there something wrong?" Pier inquired him but Ciaran remained unresponsive for an entire minute. He still had to absorb everything that had been said.

Pier loves him.

The same Pier that saved him from the rampage and gave him his kingdom back.

He... loves him?

Ciaran took a deep breath when it started to sink in his mind.

How can he deserve such thing?

Pier is literally the best and is completely out of his league. He was simply clinging on to false hope that the white-haired king's like towards him would bloom as something else.

Ciaran wanted to keep Pier for himself. That's why he was always fending off people that annoyed Pier.

The white-haired noble did not show any positive liking towards another man aside from him and so he was hoping and waiting.

Hoping that Pier would come to love him.

Waiting for another man that would capture Pier's heart and test if the latter was worthy of it.

Ciaran knew his limits.

If Pier loved another, he cannot do anything about it.

He was constantly trying his best to gain the white-haired man's affections but the progress was slow. In all honesty, Ciaran Fenrir was fine if Pier did not love him as long as he get to stay beside him.
