• Carter POV •
"Hey Maddi." I said quietly shaking her. She sighed, I heard her sigh. I've been trying to get her to get up for an hour, but every time I try she pretends to be asleep.
I sat up and looked over her shoulder. "Are you okay?" I asked her, she shrugged. "I can't stop thinking about her." She said quietly. I moved her short hair behind her ear.
"Who?" I asked her, she just shook her head and pulled the covers up. "I don't wanna talk about it." She said. I say up and looked over her shoulder. "You can talk about it with me if you want." I said. She shut her eyes and nodded.
"I don't." She said quietly. I nodded and she rolled over on her back. "I'm gonna go talk to Sadie." She told me getting up. I watched as her tiny body walked out my room while wearing my sweats and shirt.
I sighed and threw my body back on the bed. What did I do?
Someone knocked on my door then entered.
"Your girlfriend kind of kicked me out my room." Matthew said. "Did she speak to you?" I asked. He shrugged, "I didn't really pay attention. After I came back from using the bathroom and she was on my bed rubbing my stomach trapped baby."
I nodded and got up. "She keeps thinking about her." I told him. Just to see if he knew who she kept thinking about. There were a lot of hers to choose from...
"Oh, that sucks?" Matt said un surely. "Who?" He asked and I shrugged. "I was hoping you knew."
"Hey, I'm gonna go." Maddi said poking her head in. I stood up and walked to her, "Alright let's go." I said. She shook her head, "I have a way." She mumbled waking out my room.
I sighed, "I don't know why she's giving me the cold shoulder." I told Matthew. He shrugged, "give her space."
I sighed and walked out the room. I couldn't let her walk home and it's too close for Sadie to go in labor for her to be driving.
"She already left if you're looking for her." Sadie said. "What did she tell you?" I asked her. She just shrugged, "All she wanted to do was feel her kick." She told me. Matthew walked in the living room joining us.
"Our baby." I said with a sudden realization. "Oh, wow." Matthew said quietly. "Maybe you shouldn't give her space today." He added. I nodded, "I'm gonna go." I said walking out. I put some shoes on then got in my car.
I drove down to her apartment and this time instead of just walking in I rung the doorbell. I heard her inside talking then seconds later she opened the door. "Hey." She greeted me. I smiled, "Can I come in?" I asked, she shrugged.
When I walked inside James was sitting on her couch. "Nothing's going on." She said softly. I nodded, "I'm gonna go. I have to get back." James said getting up. After he left I sat down.
"You're thinking about our baby." I said. She sighed, "No, but now I am." She mumbled. "Oh." I said looking down. "Yeah, thanks." She said.
I walked over to her. "I'm sorry, I love you." I told her. She nodded, "I know. I just wanna be alone right now." She said walking upstairs to her room. I would've followed, but seeing I just made her even more sad I should probably go.

• Maddi POV •
I was sleeping, but someone was repeatedly ringing the doorbell. I drug myself out the bed and went to open the door. "How'd you get here?" I asked Mason. "Laura, she said I could spend today with you and everyone else." He said.
I mentally punched myself in the face. "Yeah, okay I'll call Carter." I said. "No it was his idea for me to spend the day with you guys, I have to keep you occupied for another hour then he'll be here, but apparently you could use the hour to get ready." He chuckled.
