• Carter POV •

"No one is happy so it doesn't matter." Matthew muttered. "I actually am pretty happy." I told him. He shook his head, "Fucking liar. Just tell Maddi that you broke Sasha's heart and she'll cut you off." He snapped. I just shrugged.

"Why haven't you told her?" He asked. I shrugged again, "Because I dont have to." I said, yeah that made since. "You're so fucking dumb." He laughed at me. "It's my decision so whatever." I said.

The doorbell rang just as he was about to say something. He got up to go get it. I followed him also. When he opened it there was Maddi, and she didn't look so happy.

"Why are you here?" Matthew asked. Then she broke down, not really, but some tears rolled down her cheeks. Which had dry tears on them. I frowned I felt really bad for her. I opened the door wider to let her in and I noticed her arms were bare. It did get cold out of no where today. Which is kind of ideal sensing that it's October.

She came in and I hugged her. She was basically frozen. "We need to talk." She said. I nodded and we all walked to the couches.

"I need to see Sasha, I want to know why she didn't fucking tell me about Mason." It was like she was a totally different person... "Call your girlfriend, Carter." Matthew smirked at me. I shook my head, "Stop it." I mumbled.

"Well, go on." She edged. I shook my head, "No I can't do-" she cut me off.

"No excuses. I came here for one thing." She muttered then stood to her feet. I got up after her and followed her out. "What did you come out here for?" She asked smiling slightly. What?

"I..." I trailed. Honestly, I'm lost. Her mood swings are crazy and never straight up. "Where does Sasha live?" She asked. Then there's back with the seriousness.

"I don't know, I've never been to her house." I say softly scared that I will trigger something off in her delicate body. I bit my lip as I grazed her body. She was simply wearing a pair of sweats, my sweats. After last night, I left before she woke up and folded my old clothes and placed them on the futon for her to keep, I left. I smiled at the thought of her waking up and seeing them...

She'd simply wake up with her normal messy morning hair, yawning and stretching back so that her shirt lifts up slightly and clings to her torso to show her ribs. Her eyes scan the room for my presence, but not satisfied.

She softly sighs and pouts before walking over to the neatly folded, not really, but I did try my best, clothes. She'd pick them up and smell them being the awkward cute she is and place them over her clothes.

"You're some boyfriend." She mumbled. I shook my head, "You'd know." I shot back. "Wow, I just wanted to know where she lived." Maddi laughed fauxly then rubbed her stomach. I noticed she'd gotten a little heavier... Not to be an asshole, but she was really skinny when I first saw her. Now she was almost gained at least ten pounds.

Weird, that I realize these dumb things. Who cares how much their girlfriend gains in weight? Or in my case, ex girlfriend who hates me? "You're really useless. I'll just go see another friend." She spoke. You'd think she was completely wasted, but no. My Maddi was a completely different Maddi I've ever seen.

Maddi 2.0

• Maddi POV •

I pulled out my phone and went to James' contact. I called him so he'd respond right away. It took a couple of rings, but he answered it.

"Hello, Ms. Maddi." He said. I laughed from his amount of kiddishness. He was so adorable.

"I need some help." I spoke. He told me to come in a few to his home where he'd taught me to defend myself, so I did just that. Once I arrived he looked more than happy to see me.
