So, guess who isn't dead! Long story short the hospital has terrible beds, and I somehow passed this year in school. So let's get to finishing this story, and thank you for waiting this long. :)

"Huh, whaddya mean what you're about to do?"

"This."

My sword, still broken drops into my hand from my sleeve and I slice at his neck. His head hits the ground along with his body as it shrivels into ashes and finally into nothingness, even the blood that had splattered on me.

[So that's how it works, how interesting.]

I look around, the gas lamps on the sides of the walls illuminate the walkways. I slowly close my eyes and breathe out. The sound of twinkling bells appears in the air and I open my eyes to find the true place I am in.

[I wonder if I killed myself? They did say curiosity killed the cat.]

I walk towards the door and swing it open. The light dims as I walk through the frame and into a rather brightly lit room. It has the characteristics of a nursery. A crib against a painted wall, a dream catcher, incense burning, and toys. I run my fingers over the nearest desk and find it to be clean.

[It has been lived in, but not worn down. Curiouser and curiouser.]

I open the window in the room and jump down from the second floor that the room was held on. I peek around the corner of the alleyway before assimilating myself with the crowd. I quickly move back into another alleyway holding a singular presence.

"What a nice surprise to stumble upon you here Akira-san." I wave the man over before putting my hands behind my back.

"Ah, what are you doing here (y/n)-san?"

"Nothing special, just taking a short walk to cool off before I go to sleep."

"The decorations they have put up look lovely tonight, don't they?"

"Yes, they are absolutely breathtaking," He said looking at me, as the air around us changes.

"Say, did it ever grow? Have you been watching it?"

Taken aback he says, "No, there is too little time, sadly it is a regret. These few weeks are the only time I am here for."

"How quaint. Such a terrifyingly beautiful place to reside, it's almost dream-like."

"It is. Come here, I wanna show you a special place."

I follow behind him as we leave the bounds of the village and towards the mountain. We walked in silence, comfortable or stagnant, neither of us could tell. We pass tree after tree, bush after bush until we finally arrive at the summit. He sits on the edge lasting his legs dangle over the edge and pats the ground next to him.

"What is the meaning of taking my time and dragging me out here?"

"Let's spend some time together. I love you, and I haven't seen you in so long."

"You make it sound like I know of the thing you call love. What time would we get to spend in this stuffy life?" I walk up to the edge and gently settle down next to him.

"Don't tell me that you are that dense." Akira sarcastically asks.

"Whatever do you mean, you better not be calling me heavy," I reply with a smirk.

"No, no, of course not. You're rather of the light side I would say."

"There isn't much food to eat, especially not here."

"You do know that I wish things had turned out differently."

...

"I—-I have no qualms, nor do I have the reason to go against the events of the pa-present."

"It doesn't have to hurt so much. I could help if you let me." He says hopefully.

"What could you do? It's not like the events are tangible. I came here of my own free will, with information that I gathered myself-"

"Please! I could do more." He grabs my hand with both of his much larger hands."I'm supposed to be the older sibling."

I turn my head from the sky to my side where he sits. I sigh as I take off my mask with my free hand and wear a small content smile. "You are the older sibling, but you're also the dead sibling." The flowers around us start to wilt and their petals fall to the ground.

"One of the dead siblings." He tries to say jokingly. "And if I'm the dead sibling you are the double cursed sibling." The horizon showed either the sun setting or rising, neither was important. It cracked, creating a web-like pattern increasing in size, and a red substance pours out from the cracks.

"I'm the only live sibling, so I get to be double cursed. How illustrious." I chuckle at my words before a writhing pain blossoms on the side of my face. Akira holds onto my hand tighter as I use my free hand to grab at my head. Memories flashing through my head at an alarming rate turn into blurs to color and light. I squeeze my eyes shut in hopes that it would do something to take away from the burning pain. Small cracks start to form from the mark under my eye. Slowly they start to rise up my face.

"(y/n), come on, we need to leave before it gets any worse."

"It hurts. I can make you feel pain as well."

"Heh, please don't. Just don't kill me for this."

Before I could say anything I saw him lean forwards and fall off the cliff with me in tow. "Fuck you!" The cliff we were once on starts to crumble and debris fall toward us. As we fall towards the treetops, I think.

[I'm hungry. I wonder if there is food at home...

but, where is home?]
