Chapter 31

After talking for a while with them, they allowed me to leave and after the door closed I quickly sped walked back to the butterfly estate. For once I am actually happy that people don't normally notice me as I pass by them. To occupy my time, I play with (s/n),(c/n) having to go back to receive my next mission, so I knew that I just needed to get some more money before I go. I quickly ran towards the back of the butterfly estate. When I saw the wall, I quickly jumped over it and with no sound, but Zenitsu still turns around.

"(y/n)-chan!!!!!"

"Hn, you heard me?" I turn towards them while tilting my head to the side.

"(y/n)-chan what are you wearing?!!!!"

Tanjiro and Zenitsu were both visibly red while Inosuke's make spurted steam out of the sides.

"Ah, are you three ok, You look like you have a fever? Also, my uniform got shredded and Mitsuri gave me an extra one of her uniforms. Is something wrong with it?"

"No no! You look great!"Zenitsu says as he walks closer to me.

As I turn to walk away Zenitsu latches on to me again."Please, please marry me! If I were to wake up to something like this I would love you forever!"

Zenitsu falls to the ground with foam coming out of his mouth and I see Tanjiro looking at me with concernment.

"Thank you for helping, but make sure that you don't hurt yourself doing that."

"Heh, there is no need to worry (n/n) -chan, my head is pretty hard!"

"(n/n)?"

"Oh sorry, I accidentally gave you a nickname."

"It is fine, it just surprised me since no one has ever given me a nickname before. I like it, thank you."

[The warm fuzzy feeling is there, maybe it is Tanjiro.]

I pull him into a hug. The feeling is still there but it didn't get stronger.

"(n/n)"

[Maybe it is all three of them being together.]

[But is it only the three, I think I felt it when I was with Mitsuri and Obanai, as well as Shinobu and Uzui and his wives? Even though they started squishing and pinching my cheeks.]

[My cheeks hurt so much after that. Ah, I wonder if (c/n) is looking for me?]

"(Y/n)!!!"

"Huh." I look down and see Tanjiro starting to look blue. I quickly pull him away from me and ask if he is ok.

"Yea, you just kind of suffocated me a little bit with your um..um..."As he kept saying "um" his face kept getting redder and redder.

"Sorry, I was in thought. What is um?"

"Uh, nothing! It was nothing at all!"He says while waving both of his hands' side to side furiously.

"Alright, are you trying to teach Zenitsu and Inouske total concentration breathing constant?"

"Yep, well trying. I am not very good at describing things. You can join if you like!"

"I can only give a brief description before I leave."

"You already have another mission? You just got back!"

"I will be back soon enough. Let's hurry; I don't know when (c/n) will be back."

He got Inouske and Zenitsu and we all sat on the ground to start practicing.

"The easiest way for me to describe it is: You take in the air till you can feel your blood pumping in your veins and your stomach is full of air. Then you push it all out till you feel empty and that you can't exert any more air. Then you repeat the process for the rest of the day. When I did this my lungs and head hurt. There is also a chance that your ears will hurt. When it starts to hurt, you know you are doing it right, so feel the pain."

"Whatttttt! That doesn't help (y/n)-chan!!!!" Zenitsu screams while shaking my shoulders profusely.

"Wha? Stop shaking me Zenitsu."

I grab his shoulders and press somewhat harshly so that he is on his knees and his hands are away from my shoulders.

"Caw, I have your new mission Caw."

"Alright then, bye see you soon hopefully."

I disappear from their area and into the room with all my things. I quickly grab my bag and refill the money and place the pouch securely inside my uniform. I go outside and find (c/n). Surprisingly she had (s/n) sat on her back.

"Are you over your spat that you had this morning?"

"Yes. Caw."

"Good now let's go finish that mission."

(c/n) let (s/n) slither onto me before flying higher into the sky and leading me in the direction of my next mission. This time it was in a grassy plain and nothing in the area beside tall grass. The sun was already setting, and I could see the moon rising. I decided to look around to see if there are any indicators of where the demon is, or where he is keeping some of his kidnappings. There are no out-of-the-ordinary markings or oddly placed items, it seems like a normal grass plain, but grass plains don't grow in perfect circles and have boulders and trees creating a border if you look from the center.

"(c/n) take a look from above and tell me if there is something interesting.

I walk towards the center of the circle again. I look up and the sky is dark, my vision is also very limited with the little light that I can get from the Moon.

"Caw, fire, caw!"

I spin around and see thin lines of fire coming from all directions towards me. The wind picks up and the fire grows higher and hotter. The ground tremors and I look around for the source. The ground underneath me starts to rise and get hotter. I quickly unsheath my sword and attack before the demon is able to emerge from the ground.
