I love you all, thank you for making this book end up being so big. Also thx for all the comments and things, I find some really funny to read at like 3 in the morning. (*~*) Also for the person who asked why the Aquarius attack was water-based, Aquarius is known as the water bearer so that is why. Thx for asking though. Also, the sword reveal is coming up soon.
My attack works and I jump away from the center and hide in the shadows as the demon emerges from the ground with an injury on his shoulder. He has cracks along his body that shine a bright orange and have something flowing out of them. The grass around us starts to catch fire making it hard for me to breathe.
[I guess it was a good idea for me to take that binder off.]
I take out a small cloth and tie it around my face after pouring water on it. I hide behind the flames as I slowly move behind him. Once I am in the blind spot that cloud that was covering the moon moved out of the way and the light cast over the both of us.
Breath of Stars: Aquarius
I run towards him, and a small glint comes from my sword, but it was too late for him to move away from the attack. The water surrounds him and moves around like a water spout.
Breath of Stars: Sagittarius
I attack with normal straight attacks while he is still shaken up from the previous attack. There is a hardened shell around his body, it feels as strong as my sword if not stronger. When he starts to spout more liquid, I dodge and see it quickly melt the tree that it happened to land on.
[Lava, that has got to hurt.]
With the fifth stroke, the armor encasing his body has a few major cracks and he doesn't seem happy about that.
"You bitch, just die so I can become a Kizuki!"
"No."
I didge the incoming spurt of lava and slash the part where there is no hardened skin. His leg falls off and he falls to the ground.
"Blood demon art: pompeii!"
The ground behind him started growing bigger until its center hollowed out and lava-filled. The air around us got hotter. The volcano erupted and the lava as well as very large rocks flew into the air and headed straight for me.
Breath of Galaxies: Universal End
I tap the tip of my sword against the ground, and we were surrounded by darkness, stars, galaxies, and planets.
"Wh- What is this?!"
"Your end."
I appeared in front of him and swung my 9th stroke. As my sword broke through the hardened layer and then his neck it broke. As the demon started to crumble away I let my sword drop to the ground and the pieces lay there.
[Now I only have that small wisteria dagger.]
Somehow the lest bits of the lava completely melted my sword before disappearing leaving a puddle of metals too hot to be touched. (c/n) flew down with (s/n) on her back.
"Good job master, caw. Let's go home caw."
"Yes, but we should hurry in case there are any demons in the vicinity. I don't believe that a small dagger will be a good weapon for fighting a demon."
She takes off high into the sky, and I follow after her. I hop from tree to tree until I am finally out of the forest and back onto one of the main travel paths. (c/n) comes closer and we continue running. We continue running for a long time and have passed one town.
[There should have been more than one village at the speed that we are going.]
I keep in thought the terrain and the surroundings that we are passing by. In the distance, I can see a few lights. As we get closer and closer, it resembles the previous village almost like a mirror image.
[I always have terrible luck.]
"(c/n)."
She stops and looks at me. I signal for her to stay on my shoulder.
"Let's stay inside an inn for the night. It is nowhere close to morning."
I walk towards the entrance of the town. There are no guards, and I walk in and look around for a place to eat. I walk around for a while until I stumble upon a small shop that sells soup. I go inside and order and udon. The owner is a short chubby man and there is only one other person there who is cleaning the tables. When he brought the udon, I gave him a small thank you before chowing down. When I am almost finished with my food, someone familiar comes through the door. (c/n) is on the other building outside of the restaurant.
"Hello, Himejima-san."
"Hello (l/n) -san."
"I thought I already told you that you could call me (y/n)?"
"Forgive me, I had forgotten (y/n)-san."
"There is no need to worry, come, we can eat together."
I continue to eat my second bowl as he gets his own food and starts to eat it.
"What are you doing here?"
"My nightly patrols."
"Hm."
Once we both finish our meals, we leave after paying and walk around.
"Ne, Himejima, can I see your bead necklace?"
"Sure."
He takes it off and hands it to me. As we walk side by side, I examine the red beads. We walk past a few open shops staying in content silence.
"Ne, give me a piggy-back ride."
"Alright."
I go behind him and get on his tall back. He walks me around for a bit. The night sky still looks young, and the sky is clear.
"Ne, Himejima-san."
"Yes (y/n) -chan."
"Who are you?"
"What do you mean? Are you asking about my past?"
The smile on my face drops and my voice turns condescending."No, I am asking who you are imposter."
I take the beads that I was examining earlier and wrap them around his throat. He starts choking and falls to the floor.
"I-I don't know what you are talking about (y/n) -c-chan. I-it is the r-r eal me."
"The real Himejima-san only calls me (l/n), and I call him Gyo-kun. Plus the necklace you are wearing has too many beads on it. And lastly, if he called me the wrong name, he would start crying."
I give the imposter a condescending glare, and the air around me seems to freeze.
"So I will ask you one more time, Who Are You?"
"I-It is me (y/n) -c-chan, belie-ve m-me."
"No."
I take the dagger out of the arm of my haori and stab it into the middle of his forehead. Blood spurts out and onto me. I take the dagger out and look at the imposter's body and is laying on the ground motionless. (c/n) Come down from the sky looking frightened.
"Master, what if that was him. caw?"
"I know it it an importer."
I get into a fighting stance with my dagger in hand, while looking at the body.
"If it was the real Gyo-kun, he would have been able to get me off of him, and would never give his beads to someone else so easily."
