I sigh as the wind whips through both of our hair. I slip my hand out of his grip. "You know you shouldn't say you love me. We both know I wouldn't be able to handle that."

He looks down doubtfully and says, " I guess it was very cruel of me to say that."

[More like a sick joke. One that would leave a bad taste in the back of your throat for years.]

I let the wind flip me to my back as I look up at the now crumbling world. "Such a beautifully terrifying thing this world is, isn't it?"

"The same could be said unto you, little sister."

"Pft, while the thought was nice, you didn't understand it. I can't wait to destroy it."

"Why would you want to destroy it?" The scenery quickly gets farther away from us as we near the trees.

"Why not! I got to fly, now I want to fall! That's my wish, and no one else's."

"Good! You started to make your own choices. Stay that way!"

I don't respond, he doesn't wait for a response. As we both smash through the treetops, I awaken on the ground next to the glass structure from before. I sit up gasping for air. I quietly go back to the room. I take off my haori and look at it, well whatever scraps are left, threads keeping it from completely falling apart.

[Maybe it will finally be time for a change? The same thing for so long is suffocating.]

"How tiresome old people and their stories are. Why can't people just say something straight out rather than covering it in a stupid riddle? Now I'm talking to myself, I need to stop, I've been around children too much."

*** Over with the Master using his foresight

"Amane, my wife. Would you please help me up?"

"Of course dear, where to?"

"Some of our dear children are getting close to the Masahisa family."

"My, let us hurry then. Let me go grab you another layer."

Timeskip their slow walk due to the deteriorating man, Tanjiro's POV a little while earlier

Dreams, a nice way to be welcomed into sleep and a way to reminisce. Unlike most nights when my dreams were filled with loving memories of my family and Nezuko, I had a rather strange one. Just like mine, there was a large family, a loving family. A mother, father, and 5 children, once the sunset and the father left the wife suddenly massacred the remaining family. After being overcome by the guilt she left quickly and the scenery changed to stained glass. On both sides held a pale man with black hair, the one looking up had a dark background whilst the other who looked to the ground had a lighter background.

As the wife kept running and running, day and night she stumbled upon an empty field when the moon turned red (lunar eclipse). As she gazed at the sky above the field that she lay on caught fire and her husband stands before her. As they converse angrily with no sound, as they are too far away the flames eat at both of the people as they seemingly don't mind. Pieces of their skin start to melt off and pieces of flesh slide off revealing muscles and bones. Suddenly everything besides the couple stopped, and I rush towards the couple.

"Stop! Stop!" I yell but to no avail.

The husband takes out a sword and yells," I curse you, your ancestors and your generations to come! May your want for love kill you and may you forever bear the consciousness of your lineage?"

He pierces the sword through the women's eye killing her in the process and in doing so the sky above opened thousands of eyes. I sniff the air, but I find that they are both human, not even a hint of the demon smell could be found on them. Just as my foot touches the ground which the flames burn both the man and the women's heads snap towards me along with every eye in the sky.

"You have no right. No right at all!" The dead woman's head starts to scream repeatedly with a different voice each time.

The man suddenly talks with a noncaring voice, " None have the right to interfere, especially not someone like you." He takes the sword out of the screaming dead woman's head and with a flick of his sword he is right in front of me with his sword to my neck.

I shakily breathe out as sweat drips down the side of my face. Why won't I wake up, this is scary enough? This man isn't saying anything, but his sword isn't moving. Suddenly the man's neck is snapped, and it falls limply to the right. I feel myself shaking right now, I don't know if from nervousness or whatever is wrong with the smell of this dream. The head suddenly looks at me from its limp position.

"T-Tanji-ku-un, st-ay awa-y." A feminine voice says.

"(Y/n-"

"TANJIROOOOOOO! WAKE UP!"

I jolt out of bed and end up headbutting Zenitsu in the process.

"Oww man, what's up with you? Your's teeth were chattering so loudly, and you were shaking like a worm. You had a weird sound aro-"

"Wait." *snif * *snif * [It's moving!]. I quickly get off of the ground and run quietly out of the Butterfly estate with Zenitsu and Inosuke who woke up at some point and is now holding onto Zenitsu's sleeve.

"Tanjiro where are we going, it's like 2 in the morning," Zenitsu whisper yells.

"I don't know, but I need to find something." [Even if I was told not to.]

I quicken my pace which leads to the others doing so as well. As we pass by a very thick patch of trees we find ourselves standing as a massive graveyard.

"You wanted to go to the demon slayer graveyard?! What for and why now!"

"This is a demon slayer graveyard?!" I ask surprised, but I run off again having caught the scent again. It keeps getting stronger the farther we go into the graveyard and many miles away still. I quickly stop when I see light coming our way. Zenitsu bumps into my back but quickly shuts up before we could be caught.

"Tanjiro, that t-thing that you were s-search-ing for, it wouldn't be t-that right?" He points towards a weirdly shaped grave, instead of it being a normal gravestone, and it was part of the ground, not noticeable to most.

"That would be right my child," A mysterious voice says from the dark silence behind the three boys.
