Chapter 54

I can't believe that my story got 200k views. Thank you, everyone! Sorry I was away from home the past two days that is why this is late.

Clones appear around the vicinity of the walkway, all exactly copying my movements. I watch as the three demons who appeared go off on their own to fight without taking any orders.

[They all act on their own thought and don't seem to have a leader of the group. Are they just different versions of the same person instead of clones like me?]

I attack the fan demon from behind and lop off his head while he was dealing with the clones. I went after the winged demon not wanting any surprise attacks when the demon split. I ran on top of the railing and jump-kicked off of the closest building.

Breath of stars: Cancer

I use one sword and slice through his torso before cutting backward at his neck. The other sword took care of cutting his wings so that he was less trouble. Before my sword could go all the way through his neck, he made a sonic scream and we both fell. Before I have a chance to stand up I roll away from a large lightning bolt, and then almost getting impaled by a spear. I use my arms to support me and I kick the new demon's face away from me. I hold my arm that was cut by the spear as I stand up breathing deeply.

The number of clones I had was dwindling by the second. I force the air through my lungs as I make more to keep the others busy. I block the spear coming towards my face, and I pivot around his body as the spear goes along my sword. I slice off his arm before rolling away from another lightning strike.

"Ho, this looks fun! Urogi, Sekido!"

All of my clones were gone, and the four of them surrounded me. I watch as they simultaneously attack and take a nice deep breath of air.

Breath of Galaxies: Universal End

Once the attacks were canceled out, I parried the spear demon and sliced off his hand.

Breath of Galaxies: Quasar

As we continued fighting, I failed to notice how hot it was getting, and how fast my heart rate was getting. A part of the staff demon was attached to my leg making it numb, and I fall to my knees. I felt the wind pick up as I was thrown into the air and met the winged demon. I cut off one of his feet and take it before slicing his mouth open and letting myself fall back to the walkway. I tuck and roll as I hit the ground and I run towards the staff demon who attacks with lightning.

Breath of stars: Aries

Once his vision is obscured, I use the sliced-off foot and grab the staff. Once I have a good enough grip I yank it and slice off his arm before tossing the staff off the side of the walkway. When he went to touch me I took out a clump of feathers that I also took from the winged demon and placed them on his hand.

Breath of Galaxies: Nebulas Collapse

I slice through his neck and both his head and his body fall off the side of the walkway. A spear pierces through one of my legs before getting pulled out and pushed through my arm. I drop my sword before ripping my arm off of the spear and slicing it in two. I kick my sword through his abdomen as I feel the wind around us pick up. I grab onto the sword in the abdomen of the demon and keep hold as we are thrown through multiple buildings, the demon getting most of the damage.

Once we are finally done being thrown through buildings we land on top of a roof, him laying down and me using him as a landing pad. When I landed on him, we broke the roof and I stood on top of the sword that was lodged into his stomach.

"Owwww, stop stepping on me!"

"Sure, I'll just kill you real quick."

At this point, the demon had made another spear, and I jumped off the sword as he swung it at me. Like he had done before he elongated the spear and it ended up slicing my forehead and cutting off the hair I used to cover my eye. I wipe the blood away from my (e/c) eye, and I keep the other closed.

Breath of Galaxies: Supernova

As I get closer to the demon, I slice through the spear as it fluctuates in size. The only sound in the room is the clanging of the staff pieces hitting the floor and the demon's footsteps. I grab the sword lodged in him with both hands and pull up.

Breath of stars: Taurus

I jump taking him with me through the roof again and into mid-air. Once I forced my sword through his head, I ended up behind him and dealt the final blow towards the back of his neck. When I land on the rooftop my knees, give out and I fall down. I let myself have a short breather before going back to the walkway. I take out a few ripped pieces of clothing and tied them around anything that was bleeding a lot.

Once my eyes started to focus better and most of the blood was removed from obscuring my vision I push myself up. I hear a few bones crack and others pop. I can only hope that I moved everything back into place the right way. I hear the sound of a biwa once more, and I jump off of the roof and run back towards the walkway. When I hear another chord being played, I sense around for the demons. When I don't sense them any longer, I continue in that direction.

I walk across the walkway looking around to see if I can find any clues to what I am searching for. I snap my head to the side when I feel something coming my way. My sword drops through my sleeve and I hold it up to block whatever is coming. The force was stronger than I thought it would be and it pushed me into the railing, making me cough up some blood from previous injuries. I wipe my mouth as I stand up straight and look at the demon smiling at me.

"You may not die today, but I promise that your head will be severed here and now...
