By far this has been one of the most interesting and longest summers in Demetri's entire life. It was already mid August and so much has happened. He made new friends, joined a dojo, lost friends and hell he got jumped by his best friend.. well ex best friend for that matter. Miyagi Do was slowly helping Demetri gain confidence even if it was minuscule. He was able to defend a couple of times from some attacks which was exciting for him. He even got to help push up the heaviest rock in the dojo after Miyagi Do had been attacked by some Cobra Kai goons. Regardless, the entire class was proud even Chris who was a previous enemy of Demetri's. Demetri grew closer to him, Sam, Robby and the rest of the new Miyagi Do members. It was like family however he still was missing his other half who seemed to be doing just fine without him.. or so he thought. Demetri had finished practice for today and was beyond exhausted. He sat quietly on a rock by the pond staring at the wooden platform that floated in the middle of the body of water balanced by the two bonsai plants. Demetri heard some soft footsteps approaching him. He looked over to see Sam standing with an unreadable expression. It was a mixture between worry and relief.

"Hey Sam," Demetri looks up curiously. "What's up?"

"Oh umm just wanted to tell you something I heard." She sat beside him.

"That Cobra Kai is after us again?" Demetri rolled his eyes. "Nothing new especially with 'Hawk' around."

"No," she shakes her head. "But it does have something to do with him."

Demetri's head turns fully towards Sam clearly interested in what she has to say.

"I heard him and Moon broke up." She says while looking at her phone. "Moon told me and they also removed pictures of each other on their social media."

Demetri's eyes widen. Moon and Hawk broke up? He couldn't believe the words that came out of her mouth so he just gawked at her for a whole minute.

"Look." She shows Demetri the messages between her and Moon.

Moon: Hey Sam how's karate been going?

Sam: Good just busy training. How is life dating a cobra kai?

Moon: I wouldn't know how to answer that because I am not dating one.

Sam: What do you mean?

Moon: Me and Hawk are over. I don't date bullies.

Sam: Oh I'm sorry I didn't know.

Moon: It's okay. I needed to get rid of toxic people in my life. Plus you and Demetri are my friends. I do not want him to hurt my friends.

Sam: Well I'm sure Demetri appreciates it. I do. :)

Demetri felt a tug in his chest. He couldn't help but feel like Moon and Hawk's break up were his fault. Oh,yes it was Demetri. Great, now he's going to hate me more. At first Demetri was overjoyed to hear that they broke up for some reason however now it feels like the worst thing to ever happen. Hawk already hated Demetri enough as is and now after the break up, Demetri's life would just be hell.

"Well at least we have Moon on our side." Sam reassuringly pats Demetri's back. "See? We are the good guys."

"Yeah..." Demetri forced a smile. "We sure are.."

Sam chuckles unaware of Demetri's hesitation. "Oh, Moon also invited us to her party this Saturday."

"Sounds fun." Demetri says almost sarcastically. Sam smiles and walks away leaving a conflicted teen by the pond.

*2 weeks earlier*

"What the hell were you thinking?" Moon yelled at her significant other outside of the Cobra Kai dojo.

"He joined Miyagi Do." The mohawk teen argues.

"So what?" Moon defended. "He's your friend."

"He's a fucking nerd!" Hawk retorts. "And he'll always be a nerd!"

Moon looks away pensively. Hawk couldn't help but feel a sense of discomfort. Something about her face almost gave him chills. It was a face of disappointment the same face his father gave him and the face Demetri made earlier that day at the comic shop.

"You know what?" Moon takes a step closer towards Hawk. She gently places her hand on his spiked hair."I like this." She spoke softly. "And I like these." She gently squeezes his biceps before looking up at Hawk's eyes. "But I'm not dating a bully."

As she finished her sentence she turns to the direction of her car quickly making her way towards it.

"Where are you going?" Hawk follows behind her.

"We're done." She simply says opening the car door.

"No we're not." Hawk frowns.

There was no way Moon could leave him not like this. She was mad over something ridiculous. Demetri was the one at fault or at least that's what Hawk believed. Hawk could not lose his girlfriend. His first girlfriend. He was bad ass and was dating one of the hottest girls in school. He couldn't lose this. Everything he worked for. He just couldn't. He had to get her to stay. She couldn't just leave him. Acting quick he removed his shirt pointing at the tattoo that symbolized her.

"This means forever!" He spoke in a stern voice.

"And I didn't ask you to do that." Moon snaps back before entering her car.

"Hey!" Hawk barks at her.

She starts up the car completely ignoring his pleas.

"Hey!" He cries out even louder to no avail as the car began to move. Slowly but surely Moon drove away with no intention of returning. Hawk could feel a burning sensation in his chest. He was not so miserable about Moon not being a part of his life. He was more upset at the fact that she looked at him as if he was some sort of vile creature. The same face his father gave him and now Demetri. His thoughts diverted to Demetri. Why did Demetri have to always find a way to ruin his new persona? He already got beat up by the Miyagi nerds, called out as a bully and dumped by the hottest girl in school. What else could Demetri do to ruin his new way of life? Furiously Hawk turns his body around and stomps into the dojo. All Hawk could see was red just like his hair. Anger boiled up inside of him making the blood rush up from his neck onto the sides of his cheeks. He marches to the back of the gym and stops in front of a punching bag that was dangerously close to him. Without hesitation Hawk began taking out all of his frustrations on the unfortunate punching bag. It was awfully late and he definitely exceeded his curfew but he did not care. Moon, his father, Miyagi Do and Demetri stormed his mind vigorously. He couldn't go home even if he wanted to hence his abuse of the punching bag. There was also the added perk of no one being here to see him, pissed, yelling at the punching bag. So he thought.

"Got into a fight?"

Who knew that, that one question from that specific individual would be the cause of Hawk's motivation and will to fight back. Kreese was definitely his saving grace.
