The weekend passed by in a blur, it was now Monday morning and Nevaeh was getting ready for university. She was nervous, which wasn't unusual.

She put on her clothes and made her bed, made sure she had everything she needed and packed a protein bar along with a small water bottle.

Checking one last time, she got out and locked the door behind her, she started walking and thinking about what happened a couple days ago, it was surreal, she couldn't believe it.

At first, she thought she was sick, those unfamiliar feelings she was feeling, she's never felt something like this, hence why she was confused. But after learning that they've been sharing the same feelings as her, it felt like she could breath, she didn't feel guilty anymore.

She sighed as the cold wind slapped her in the face, she looked up at the sky and it was clouded, the clouds were gray and that only meant one thing, rain, storms and getting wet from walking home, to work and back from work, she sighed harshly.

She hissed when her back made contact with the wall harshly, she breathed in shakily and looked up and saw four girls laughing at her. She gulped and didn't say anything as she leaned on her knees and got her phone which fell on the floor.

She turned the phone around and saw the cracked screen, tears sprung her eyes.

"Awe are you gonna cry? Freaks like you deserve it." The leader of the girl group hissed and the students laughed along.

'I thought we were in university, not high school.' She thought to herself. She didn't reply, what would she reply? She has no chance against them, they might hurt her.

"And bitches like you deserve an ugly beating." A new voice said making her look at the new person with shock.

A tall girl, wearing a bordeaux leather jacket with black boots said. 'She's so pretty' Nevaeh thought to herself.

Her black hair was long and so black, like the midnight sky, her pale skin reflecting her light brown eyes, eyeliner on, making them look bigger. She towered over the girls and her.

"Excuse me?" She girl asked, offended.

"You're excused, now if you ever get near her again I'll reform your face." The new girl hissed, taking a threatening step towards the girl.

The girl looked the new girl up and down then nodded and scurried away from the new girl, not looking back.

The new girl turned to look at Nevaeh only to find Nevaeh looking at her with wide eyes.

"Are you okay?" The girl asked and walked more closely towards her.

This seemed to snap Nevaeh out of her shock and she slowly nodded her head.

"Thank you, you didn't need to do that." Nevaeh said and bit her lip anxiously.

"You don't need to thank me, now come one, what class do you have?" The girl dismissed and asked, then started walking ahead.

Nevaeh was confused, why was she asking her this? Why is she still talking to her?

She was stood rooted in her spot, still trying to comprehend what is happening.

She was getting far, so Nevaeh ran towards her and asked her, "Why are you still talking to me?"

The girl stopped and turned towards Nevaeh with raised brows, "Why wouldn't I talk to you?

"Because I'm a freak." Was Nevaeh's simple answer.

The girls frown deepened as she looked at Nevaeh with a hard glare, "You're not a freak, your eyes are beautiful, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise."
