Kiara's POV
"Where are we going?" I wiped the tears off my cheek as Decebel held my hand, guiding me towards one of the many academy parking lots.
He didn't say anything, continuing his path.
"Is this the part of my life where I get abducted and murdered somewhere in the woods..?" I asked, only slightly kidding.
"Kiara, we cant speak here." He was stern.
"You're so secretive. What could possibly be so confidential." I pushed for an answer.
"KIARA." He stopped dead in his track, looking into my eyes.
"Do you trust me?" He asked.
"Dec-"
"No, Kiara. Do you trust me?" He asked again, acting a bit finicky.
my eyes met with his and I replied,
"I do."
We continued making our way through the parking lot before he let go of my hand and proceeding to rip the tarp off his motorcycle. He leaned on the bike, holding a helmet, motioning me to come over.
"Put this on." He put the helmet in my hands.
"What about you?" I looked up at him.
"I'd rather you be protected than me." He got onto the bike and held his hand out for mine.
I took his hand and climbed onto the back of his bike. I readjusted and wrapped my arms around his, laying my head on his back. He kicked the stand out and started the motorcycle up, and just like that we were off to an unknown location.

Decebel's POV
I brought Kiara somewhere, where the information I was about to disclose to her, wouldn't be heard by other nosy people. As much as I never wanted to tell her anything about this, I knew as time went on and how the bond was strengthening, I was going to have to tell her something. We both walked over to sit on this rock, that over looked one of the lakes here in Alaska. It was a spot that looked to be somewhere where tourist would visit very often, but also a place that looks untouched by inhabitants.
"It's beautiful out here, isn't it?" Kiara looked off into the distance.
I watched her for a few minutes in silence. She looked so calm, Kiara had soft features to her that just made her the way she is. Her looks perfectly match her personality. She was such an innocent girl, she saw the good in people as if she was blinded to the truth of what they really are. People like me, and I think this is why I'm mated to her. Fate made this easy on me, so it would be easier to fulfill my purpose of killing the person who killed my father.
"What do I need to know about you?" Kiara asked softly, playing with her hands on her lap.
"Listen Kiara." I sighed.
"This isn't easy for me to talk about this, understand that. What I'm about to tell you, I'm not even suppose to talk about. And personally, I don't even fully understand it. I had to take you here because this is something that nobody knows. Its something that you can never speak about to anyone else." I started.
"Okay, I'm listening.." She looked up from her lap and her gaze met mine.
"I'm... sick. Like really really sick." Is all the words I could comprehend.
"How are you sick? Like.. terminally ill?" She started to freak in her words.
"I was born with a disease. It's something that will stick with me for the rest of my life. My soul was bounded into a contract. This contract, is the reason I can not talk about or shouldn't talk about. I'm going to try to tell you as much about it as I can, but just understand there are things you will learn in time as things go on. If you have any questions about me, this is your chance to ask about it now."
