Mia's POV

I cant believe I walked into what I did yesterday. I hate to even think about how much that must have embarrassed Kiara. I didn't bother to mention what happened to Blake. We don't need another rug, nor do we need the drama. Decebel is a nice boy, I'm sure we're not going to have issues with him. He might be a little rough around the edges but I know he has a good heart inside. I headed through the foyer to start my decent up the stairs but the front door opening caught my attention.

"Decebel? Is everything okay honey?" I said in a motherly tone.

He closed the front door and I noticed he was holding two big bouquet of roses.

"Yes, Mrs. Woods. I just thought I'd go out early to surprise Kiara with some roses." He flashed a smile at me.

"That's so sweet. She's not home, she didn't tell you?" I smiled back.

"Where'd she go?" He looked concerned.

"Oh, no need to be concerned. She went down to the temple around like 6 this morning. This is normal for her. Would you like me to put her flowers in a vase?" I walked down the few steps that I went up.

"That would be great. Actually, one of the bouquets is for you." He handed me some yellow roses.

"I'm so happy my daughter is mated to someone like you." My heart exploded with happiness.

I gave Decebel a small hug before taking the other pink bouquet from his hands.

"Is everything okay?" Blake hesitated walking down the stairs.

"Oh yes, look at the flowers Decebel bought for me and Kiara." I smiled while smelling the roses.

Blake turned his eyes over to Decebel and gave him a quick nod as a thank you.

"I actually was just looking for you, Decebel." Blake added.

"Did I do something?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Blake. Be nice." I shot him a look.

"Yes, I just thought there were matters to be discussed." He crossed his arms.

"Underneath his mean demeanor, he's honestly a softy. You'll be okay." I said before walking towards the kitchen and I heard Blake yell,

"Mia!!!"

I let out a giggle before continuing my path.

Decebel's POV

"I want to start out with this, thank you for buying my mate and daughter flowers. Mia's been stressed lately and I'm sure that this has really made her feel happy." Blake spoke as we walked around the courtyard.

"Of course. The woman in a pack is important. Least I could do was buy them some flowers." I shrugged, not taking my eyes off the path ahead of us.

"It means a lot to me. I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot. And you better take this apology because I don't apologize." Blake coughed.

"I'm sorry too." I repeated.

"Why did you need to talk again?" I added in.

"Oh, that. I know by now you probably know that Kiara is next to being Alpha of this pack. My question to you is what do you know about us?" He sat down on the bench.

I sat down, placing enough distance between us.

"I know that you're all rogues. Other than that, nothing." I shrugged.
