Chapter 22

Decebels POV

I transformed back and started walking down the trail to the front gate. I heard my phone go off. I looked down to see a text from Kiara.

"I'm sorry that things are so complicated.. I'm really trying to do everything to make this easier on us.." the text wrote.

"There's no need to be sorry, sweetheart. Everything will work out. Just believe in the process." I replied back.

"I'm excited to see you.. even though its only been an hour lol." Another text popped up.

"Likewise babe." I sent before putting my phone in my pocket.

Walking up to the gate I saw Blake standing with the man from the school earlier.

"Great." I said out loud rolling my eyes.

"We got company." Austin pointed towards me.

Blake turned and looked at me and his face dropped with anger.

"I don't fucking think so!" He stomped over towards me.

"You have a lot of nerve coming here!" Blake got in my face.

"And you have a lot of fucking nerve to yell at me in my face like this! I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU." I flashed my red wolf eyes at him, Blake not moving from his stance.

"I think you both need to calm down for a minute." Austin tried to deescalate the situation.

"I'm not going to calm down when this boys gonna put us in danger." Blake replied.

"Me put you in danger?! Please, explain how." I laughed.

"Oh, I don't know, how about the fact that your wolf came out in front of a fucking human. I won't let you ruin my daughter." He argued.

"Ruin her? Please, I'm the best she'll ever have." I chuckled.

"In more than one way." I winked at Blake.

The next thing I know, Blake drew back a fist and punched me square in the jaw.

"OH so its going to be like that!" I screamed while holding my jaw.

"BLAKE WOODS! I KNOW YOU DIDN'T JUST PUNCH DECEBEL!" Mia came running until she was in the middle of us.

Mia looked up and saw my eyes glowing red and looked at Blake to see his glowing gold.

"You BOTH need to calm down right now!" She pushed us both away from each other.

"Decebel, please head up to the house. Kiara should be in my office." Mia crossed her arms.

I just nodded before pushing by Blake. I started to head up towards the front door.

Kiara's POV

I was sitting at one of the chairs in my mothers office, rereading the text of Decebel saying that it wasn't just me that was missing him already. I find such a home feeling in him and I feel so comfortable, even just texting him.

"Thinking about me, eh?" Two hands covered my eyes.

A big smile plastered my face before I stood up and turned around to see my tall, handsome mate standing there. I quickly jumped into his arms, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Hey beautiful." He grabbed my legs and wrapped them around his waist.

I felt something hard poking me.
