Bella's POV

The wind slightly graced the air, gently blowing my hair that laid on my shoulder. I sat in one of the many gardens in my realm, sitting with no other than Selene, my mother. We sipped on a special herb tea that was made only for the higher ups in this realm.

"There's a reason I called you out here, Bella." Selene softly spoke, looking across the small table at me.

"That would be for what, mother?" I looked off into the scenery.

"How about you tell me a little something about you visiting a young wolves dream?" Selene sipped on her teacup.

"I've visited dreams many times before. Why is this the first time were talking of it?" I looked over to her with my eyebrow raised.

"Bella, you are a very smart wolf. You know better than to step foot in the in between." Selene fought.

"Decebel needed guidance. The in between is the only way to access his dreams." I crossed my arms.

"That's Victor's responsibility to guide him. His wolf may have been created by me, but his his contract owns more rights. And with the way it looked, Victor seemed to be capable of doing it on his own." Selene looked into the distance.

"Victor's my mate, mother. We're a team, you know? I bare his mark, as well as he bares mine." I pinched the bridge of my nose.

"I am well aware, but rules are set in place for a reason. You are meant to stay in this realm, where you are protected from anymore harm. Victor on the other hand, is meant to be where he is. It's very important you both are separated. I might be a powerful being within the worlds, but this is something that I can not change, nor control." Selene calmly explained.

I sat in silence, not knowing how to respond or how being separated from your mate in the afterlife could be so cruel.

"Bella, I know you love Victor. I really do, and I know its hard for you to be away from him. If he was aloud here, he would be here with you. What you need to understand is you as my daughter needs to be here. My daughter can not be held up in purgatory." Selene stood up, placing her hand gently on my shoulder.

"It was a one time thing mother.. Even going behind the rules, it was worth being able to see him again. Even if it was only for a mere five minutes." I sighed.

"Promise to not do it again?" Selene walked around me and lowered herself to my level.

"Yes.." I hesitated to say.

"I'm only doing this to protect you. I hope you can understand." Selene started to walk back to her seat.

In an instant, I started to feel light headed and dizzy at the same time. Something didn't feel right, and for the first time in a while, I couldn't explain the feeling. I slumped my elbows down to rest on my knees, holding my head in my hands.
