Howl of Sins

Chapter 6

Kiara's POV

Me and Emily usually wake up every morning, when were not going to school, and have breakfast in our backyard on the patio. It's always a wonderful view in the mornings. We sat at one of the glass tables that we have down on the patio, drinking our daily coffee and eating some eggs and bacon that my lovely mother and Alpha makes us every morning.

"It's always something about fresh air and coffee that makes my mornings. All were missing are the boys training shirtless." Emily said with a big smile on her face.

"All the boys in this pack are meatheads. They might be trained well but they act like they're brainless sometimes. With only one thing on their minds, and that my lovely Em is sin." I took a bite of bacon.

"Oh, Kiara Elena Woods, you are too much of a goody too shoes.. Or should I bring up the way Decebel called you babe at the party last night?" Emily winked.

I could feel my checks starting to get red.

"Oh cut it out. I told you not to talk about him around here." I crossed my arms.

"Oh, does my little girl have a boyfriend?" Mia giggled walking towards us.

"No! Emily just likes to fill peoples heads with lies." I rolled my eyes while my mother sat down.

"I don't fill peoples heads with lies.. just the truth. And your mother should know if you have a crush on a boy!" Emily crossed her arms in argument.

"Oh my stars! You have a crush?! What's he like? Is he handsome?" Mia wiggled her eyebrows.

"Look what you've done.. Yes, he's cute. I don't know why I have a little crush on him because he's arrogant and annoying." I rubbed my neck.

"They always are. Please tell me he's not human like that Wade boy." Mia hesitated.

"He's a rogue actually." Emily added in.

"Emily!" I slapped her arm.

"That's not a bad thing Kiara. You forget I used to be a rogue once, and not to mention Darkened Night Howlers is an all rogue pack." Mia shrugged.

"What's his name?" Mia continued.

"Dec-" Emily started.

"JAKE. Jake Wilson." I quickly throughout while Emily gave me a weird look.

"Well, he sounds like a nice boy. I hope you bring him around sometime. Anyways, there's some good news and a favor I need from you girls." Mia took a sip of her steaming coffee she had in front of her.

"What's the good news?" I smiled.

"The adoption went through for Hailey and Jamie. Hazel is coming home!" Mia said excitedly.

"OH MY! REALLY!!" Me and Emily screamed in harmony.

Mia giggled.

"Yes, so I need you girls to go to town to pick her up from the train station. She doesn't know the area well and would love the extra help to get to the pack house."

"We can definitely do that. It's about time that we get to meet her besides on video chat." Emily primped her hair.

"Before we come back to the pack house I would like to stop down at the temple, if that's okay mother?" I asked.

"Of course. I love that you spend your time down there and are doing something good for the supernatural community." Mia giggled.

I smiled at my mother before she stood up holding her steaming cup of coffee.
