Decebel's POV
Here I was again, but this time I was walking down a very dim lit hallway, following my path to a door that was cracked at the end of it, the edges of the door illuminated from the light inside. As I stepped closer and closer I could hear the sound of what sounded to be a baby crying. I don't know what's been going on lately, I know this is a dream-like state, but somehow I can't wake up. I placed my hand on the door and slowly pushed it open, the sound of the door creaking open. I peaked into the room and saw a very nicely put together nursery. I could still hear crying coming from the crib, but as soon as I stepped into the room, the crying stopped. It turned to dead silence, I walked over and looked in the crib to see a baby sleeping, as soon as my eyes laid on this baby, I knew I was dreaming about Kiara and I's kid. I could see Kiara's features to the baby, but the little one looked just like me. It was strange to see, and I've never had a dream like this before. It almost made me have a feeling of calmness, the feeling of not having stress.
"This is progress." I heard the woman's voice again, but she was nowhere to be found inside the room.
"Who are you? I feel like if you're going to keep invading my dreams, I should be able to see the woman doing it." I threw my arms up into a shrug.
"Sweet boy, everything will happen within time. It isn't the right place for you to see me. Although, this is pushing you in the right direction. You're dreaming of your family, always focus on that. You stay on this path, you will be starting in the right direction. Your family is what will save you." The woman's voice spoke before it faded away.
I let out a sigh before I looked back down at the sleeping baby, looking as peaceful as ever.
"I will protect you and your mother as long as I stand on this planet. If it means to sacrifice myself for both of you, I will." I spoke to the infant before I felt a strong wind pull me out of the nursery and rip me down the hallway.
~My head ripped up from resting on my arms on the vanity, and the sight in front of me reminded me of what I was doing. I was in the middle of reading over all the sections of the contract. Trying to figure out if there was any added information that I might need in the upcoming future with bringing Victor back. I was going to speak about this to Kiara, but I feel like me being able to bring back her great grandfather, would be a great surprise to give her. I know how much she's always been curious about him and how much she wants to meet him. Maybe me doing this gesture will show to all of them how much I have changed. All I know, is I'm going to have to tell them about my mothers plan soon. I don't know how much longer I should keep this to myself. I was taken out of my thoughts when I heard the door opening and girls giggling. I turned to the door and saw Kiara and Emily come walking through the door. Emily was holding a bottle of wine.
"You know, you shouldn't be drinking that. Nor be drinking that around my pregnant mate." I rolled my eyes, making my attention back towards the sections of the contract to keep on my search.
"How about be quiet wolf-boy. Not like she's drinking it anyways. You think as her best friend I would let her anyways?" I heard Emily's footstep move closer to me.
"What are you even studying anyways? Not like you go to classes anymore." Emily spoke before I saw her peak around to look at the papers spread out in front of me.
"BACK UP." I growled, quickly throwing myself out of the chair and putting myself in front of her.
"What's got your panties twisted?" Emily scoffed and crossed her arms.
"That's enough you two. Emily, why don't you go sit on the bed?" Kiara walked over and grabbed Emily by the shoulders to lead her a different direction.
"Decebel, I would appreciate it if you didn't come at my best friend hastily." Kiara crossed her arms, not removing eye contact.
"You know that's off limits to ANYONE. That is a very important document, Kiara." I sighed.
"I get it. But try to contain your angered filled bursts. And you shouldn't leave it lying around out in the open if you don't want someone to gaze upon it." She let her arms down to her side.
"We should have more of privacy in our bedroom, wouldn't you say?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Our bedroom?" She looked at me slightly confused.
"Yeah, now on I will be living here. I already spoke to David and told him it wasn't an option anymore." I laughed.
"Oh, I'm sure you just told him. How did that go over Fido?" Emily let out a loud laugh.
"Did you really just call me Fido?" I rolled my eyes.
"David is my uncle. I hope you're not picking fights with my family, Dec." Kiara walked over and sat on the bed.
"I'm not. He took it rather well. Didn't fight or anything." I threw my hands up.
"I hope that's the case." Kiara laid back on the bed.
"Somehow, I don't really believe that." Emily scrunched her nose up.
"That's enough snarky comments from you, yeah?" I copied her before sitting back down at the vanity, trying to focus on the papers in front of me.
"Oh, back to what I was saying, this bitch down at the 7-11 gas station was like-" Emily started to get loud before I cut her off.
"Emily could you possibly wait to have this conversation? I need some quiet and you're not helping." I turned to look at her.
"Cant you do whatever you're doing later?" She rolled her eyes.
"No, I actually cant, thank you. This is really fucking important." I slammed my fist down on the vanity.
"Okkay, Emily. Maybe we should continue this conversation at dinner?" Kiara pulled Emily off of the bed.
"Probably a good idea. I should probably go pull Damon out of his coffin." Emily laughed pulling the bedroom door open and exited the room, pulling the door closed behind her.
Kiara let out a sigh before walking over to me, wrapping her arms around my shoulders. I was sitting with my head resting in my hands.
"Honey, what is going on?" She kissed my neck.
"There's just a lot I have to figure out. There's an important meeting for me to attend soon and there's information held within this contract and the sections, that I have to know. It's very important for our future together." I explained.
"Is this about the baby?" She questioned.
"It's about us. All three of us. It's just too much to explain and it's going to change a lot of things. I can promise, it's going to be for the better." I sighed.
"What exactly are you all doing at the meeting?" She questioned again.
"It's a surprise to say the least, but I'm sure you are going to be ecstatic about it when you find out." I turned to look into her eyes.
"I'm so confused, Dec." She looked back into my gaze.
"I know, and I promise everything will make sense soon. Just trust me, okay? Everything is going to be alright." I smiled at her.
"I trust you." She laid a kiss on my lips.
