Mia's POV

"How's everything going down with boarder patrol?" I asked Reagan as we sat in the dining room.

"As clear as can be. We ran into a rogue with her two kids but they were just passing through to find protection," Reagan shrugged.

"Did you offer for protection here?" I said concerned.

"I did, although she was trying to seek protection down in Alaska. Less danger down there." She giggled.

"Well, David does a great job with things down there. We tend to have a lot of loose ends we need to deal with here." I laughed.

"How's everything going with Jeremy? Has he figured out what he's doing in the near future?" I sipped my coffee.

"He wants to stay in college and hope to get a degree in business. Although, I'm worried. He has such a good career path to take over within this pack, it just makes me worry for his well being. Dealing with working conditions in the human world isn't quite ideal." Reagan explained her worry.

"Jeremy's a smart boy and I'm sure he will be okay with whatever career path he chooses. Although, if he ever decides otherwise, he always has an opening in our boarder patrol." I reassured.

"Are we interrupting something?" Kiara rubbed her neck.

"Not at all mini." I smiled at her.

"Alpha, mother." Emily bared her neck.

"Hi girls. Alpha Mia, I must get going I have to run the patrols down in the East side. A shipment should be passing through and need to check permits." Reagan stood up before walking towards the door. Kiara and Emily sat down at the table.

"What can I do for you girls?" I questioned.

"We cant just come see our lovely alpha?" Kiara giggled.

"We wanted to ask you if me and Kiara could attend a party this weekend." Emily asked raising her eyebrow.

"No, you wanted to know Emily. I told you I would prefer to go down the temple and work on getting the place in a better condition." Kiara rolled her eyes.

I let out a giggle.

"Kiara, I think it's a good idea to get out and experience things as a teenager." I laughed.

"Thank you! My point! She's so boring and doesn't ever wanna do anything fun." Emily said with an eye roll.

"I just don't like to party. I would rather work on Selene's temple and get it up and running. There's a lot of people out here that need more faith from my grandmother, and your moon goddess. That's not so bad." Kiara sighed.

"Honey, your grandmother appreciates the things you do to spread her faith but she also would want you out having fun. After you find your mate, responsibilities start to kick in. You only have a couple more years Kiara." I tried explaining to her.

Silence kicked in while me and Emily stared at Kiara as her head slumped down in defeat.

"Maybe you're right. But one day off from doing it and that's it."  She snapped her finger at Emily.

Me and Emily just busted out laughing. That was until the phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Yes, Mrs. Woods, I have Fane here in the office. I'm going to either need you or your husband to come down here to pick him up. There was a fight outbreak in the parking lot involving your son." The principle said in irritation.

"I'll be right there. I apologize for the inconvenience." I said before hanging up the phone.

"I'm sorry to cut this short girls, but Fane was involved in another fight in the parking lot that I have to go deal with." I rolled my eyes before standing up.
