Decebels POV

"Kiara wait!" I yelled after her as I ran down the hall, leaving Ava standing right where she was.

Fuck, I need to be careful with what I do. I'm gonna fuck this over up. I grabbed Kiaras shoulder and she turned around and shoved my hand off her.

"What Decebel? I have to get to class. Now I know why you didn't answer my text this morning." She replied with hurt in her eyes.

"I get it, I fucked up. It was out of habit." I pleaded.

"You shouldn't even want another person with after finding your mate. How could you even think about her being all over you?" She questioned.

"I know, I'm sorry. I really am. And as for you texting me, I left my phone at home on accident. That I swear by." I tried to grab her hand but she pulled away.

"Okay, look. How about I make this up to you. I'll take you on a nice date and we can work on getting to know each other more." I looked at her with the most sincere look I could possible give.

"If you cant be loyal to the bond then I don't want anything to do with this. I'm not going to be the loyal one and watch you be with other girls. You're making me look stupid." She looked down at her feet.

I'm going to have to use some truths and try to bullshit myself out of this. I think at this point for the sake of what I was trained for, I'm going to have to stay loyal to her for the time being.

"I'm not gonna lie to you Kiara, I'm not used to commitment. I've never had to commit to anything in my life. I will say, my intentions with the bond are true and I'm willing to do anything for this. I just need a chance." I placed my finger under her chin, making her look at me in the face.

"Please." I pouted my bottom lip.

"You get one more chance." She sighed.

"I'll pick you up tonight at at 7pm. Let me walk you to class." I grabbed her hand.

She just nodded and gripped my hand back. We held hands as I walked her to chemistry.

Kiara's POV

After our little event that happened in the hallway, Decebel held my hand as he walked me to chemistry. I want to believe what he says, but he has a reputation and I don't know if I can believe the words that come out of his mouth. I mean, not even a day into the mate bond and he's already been with another girl, I'm not going to be looking stupid and staying loyal when he's just doing whatever he wants with another girl.

"How did the talk go?" Emily asked.

"He asked me on a date. I told him that I wouldn't continue if he didn't stay loyal to the bond. He convinced me to give him another chance." I briefly summed up the events.

"Do you believe him?" Emily searched through her bag.

"Not really. But do I have a choice?" I placed my head in my hand.

"I mean, if you don't believe him why not talk to the guy who knows him the most?" She looked at me in the eyes.

"Who would that be?" I asked.

"Hunter. You have English with him next period, don't you?" She continued.

"Yeah but that's If he shows up." I shrugged.

"Well, if he shows up, just ask him about it. I'm sure he knows about your mate bond and I'm sure he'd be happy to talk to you about it." She started panicing, looking in her bag.
