Bella's POV

After everything with the trial, I decided to slip away from everyone and I knew I had to go see if there's something I can do about this. So, I used one of the spells that was taught to David and I from our mother. It was a spell that easily and conveniently let us travel anywhere within seconds. I decided to go to the academy, and talk to no one else but my brother. I walked down one of the corridors, headed towards the main building and to his office. Once I turned the corner, I noticed that he was actually headed in my direction.

"Bella?" David raised a brow.

"Is everything alright?" He asked again while looking around the room.

"I'm alone, David. I came to talk about something important." I tried to hide the sadness that fell upon my face.

"Let's take a walk." David held his arm out for me.

I walked closer to him and rested my arm on his.

"What's going on, Bell? You don't usually go off by yourself without Victor somewhere." He sighed.

"I had to get away from there. I went to Decebel's trial.." I looked down to my feet as we walked.

"Why would you put yourself through that? You know those aren't something easy for you to attend." David had slight frustration in his voice.

"It's not fair to sweet boy. He's on death row, David. He's being beaten so badly, when we should be focusing on Kiara and Morgan's return. It really breaks my heart." I sniffled.

"Why do you care about this boy so much?" He questioned.

"You should know the answer to that. His heart is pure. He doesn't deserve the treatment he is receiving right now."

"You could always see the light in such darkness. It was always one of your best qualities." David chuckled.

"What should I do?" I shrugged.

"I'm afraid there's nothing you or I can do. You knew this when you signed up for that pack." David was at a loss just as much as I am.

"I can see it coming to a point where Victor is going to have to take control. That I worry about." I expressed.

"I will say one thing in the many centuries I have lived. Victor always had a good eye within leadership. Do I agree with how he handles things? Absolutely not. I know Decebel shouldn't be held up in prison, or on death row, but that isn't my jurisdiction. If it was, he would be released like Hunter is now." David stopped and turned me to face him.

I looked into his eyes, while mine had some tears resting within them.

"I will have Victors back if he tries to take things back over, I will promise you that. I will not make a fight or anything out of it. I won't even put in my two cents." He rested his hands on my shoulders.
