Kiara's POV

The one thing I never pictured on having to do, sit in a chair beside a hospital that held my unconscious mate. Looking so emotionless, so... lifeless. I kept watching his chest rise and deflate to being flat again. Holding his hand in both of mine, eager to hear his voice again. Even if it was an arrogant comment. I'd kill to hear him say anything. Life can be unfair, and I think I would be so mad with the world if this was how it ends. The person I love more than anything in this world, taken from me. I don't know how I could handle that. I wish I would have known why he did this, why he would risk all of this. I couldn't stop the tears from pouring down my face. I heard the sound of the sliding glass door open, followed by a bunch of footsteps entering and I knew it wasn't just the doctors. I turned my head to see a very distraught looking Hunter and a very tall red-headed male following in behind Hunter and Ashley. I couldn't make out any words to them, so I just turned my head back to my mate.

"Alright, now that we're in a more private area. I'm sure all of the people in here know about the 'medicine' Decebel is required to take?" Dr. Steele spoke.

"Yes." Hunter replied and I just shook my head. Not taking my eyes from him.

"Well, David has spoke to me and told me the dosage that is injected in him and about how often he takes it a day. It has been spoke that he takes 10g every 4 hours or so." Ashley started before getting cut off.

"Get to the point." The man chimed in.

"Patience. As I was saying, I have taken his blood and we ran some tests. In his blood stream, we have detected that the amount was 22g, which is a whole syringe." Ashley spoke as she looked at his paperwork.

"Oh my... he promised me he wouldn't do that anymore!" I buried my head in my hands and started to cry more.

"It's been an issue with him a long time, I've been trying to work on that with him." The man walked over to the opposite side of the bed and sat across from me.

"How have you been working on it with him?" Hunter looked at him confused.

"Actually.. Despite how, I think this may have helped him in this situation. The extra wolfsbane in his blood has caused for a higher adrenaline rush. I honestly believe that if he wouldn't have done that before the ritual, he might have either been in worse condition or even might have not made it to the hospital." Ashley looked at us serious, pushing a little hope towards us.

"Oh thank god for that dumbass brain of his." Hunter sighed in relief.

"I need to take some of his blood samples down for more testing, so I will leave you all alone for a little bit." Ashley grabbed some of the samples and left the room. Leaving all three of us looking at Decebel lying unconscious on the bed before us.

"I suppose we can't be mad for doing what he did." Hunter sighed.

"You both shouldn't get mad about it at all. The Howl of Sins is something that both of you will never understand." The man spoke.
