After we got done at the appointment, Kiara wanted me to go back to the hospital room that I was stuck in for weeks. More like she was making me, I just wanted to go back to our room but Ashley mentioned that she wanted to check me over. I sat in the hospital bed with my legs out in front of me. Kiara was sitting in the chair that she had been sitting in while visiting me. She felt too far away from me, even though she was right next to the bed.
"Babe, would you mind coming here and fixing something for me?" I looked into those beautiful purple eyes of hers.
"Of course baby." She stood closer to the bed.
"What did you need me to fix?" Kiara questioned.
I just shot a smile at her before I quickly grabbed her by the hips and tugged her onto the bed with me.
"Decebel!!" She laughed out.
I positioned her so she was cuddled up beside me, with my left arm around her.
"Yeah, much better." I ran my fingers through her hair.
"Did you become more possessive?" Kiara giggled.
"The time that I spent away taught me something." I started.
"What's that?" She looked up at me.
"It taught me to never take the time I have with the person I love for granted." I felt a purr come out of my chest.
"I missed you." She spoke softly.
"I missed you so much more. I fought hard to come back to you as soon as possible." I lifted her chin and placed a kiss on her lips.
"You fought?" She raised a brow as she pulled away.
I was about to answer her before we heard someone clear their throat. Our attention turned to the door to see Ashley Steele and Victor standing in the room.
"How long have you been there?" Kiara started to get embarrassed.
"We just got here, princess." Victor let out a laugh.
"Decebel I need to hook you up to the EKG again so I can monitor your heart rate for a bit." Dr. Steele started to place sticky pads to my chest.
After she hooked me up to the machine, she walked over to the opposite side of the room to get other things she needed. She walked over fiddling with the blood pressure cuff in her hand before she looked up to the screen that shown my heart rate.
"Oh. That's.. strange." She looked at the screen closer.
"What's wrong?" Victor spoke up.

"Is he okay?" Kiara spoke with worry in her voice.
"His heart is beating unnormal." She pulled the stethoscope off from around her neck and put it in her ears.
