Kiara's POV
"Emily, I can carry my own stuff. You don't need to baby me." I rolled my eyes walking behind Emily as we entered our classroom.
"Sorry boo, Decebel made all us girls promise we'd do this if he wasn't around to do it. Plus, you're my best friend. You'd do it for me if I was in your shoes." Emily shrugged, placing my books down on the table.
"Please don't remind me he's not around today." I sighed, taking my seat.
Emily plopped down in the seat next to me and looked at me with her eyebrow raised.
"What is he doing again?" She asked.
"It's a long story.. but I'm really worried about him. His mental state isn't in the right place and... he cried in front of me last night Em. You know how hard that is to see coming from a man you don't see weakness from?" I could feel my heartache.
"He cried? Decebel? I didn't even know he could comprehend that emotion." Emily looked to be surprised.
"I just don't have a good feeling about it." I rubbed my arm nervously.
"You know what? He will be just fine with whatever he's doing today. He's one of the strongest people we know. Let's get our minds to something more important and get you from thinking the way you are. How is the pregnancy going today? I know your first ultrasound is coming up." Emily was back to her cheerful self.
"The pregnancy has actually been going smooth so far, besides the morning sickness. I know it will be all worth it when we finally get to see the ultrasound of the little baby." I smiled.
"What are you hoping the gender is?" Emily asked.
"I'm hoping for a girl. I'd love for us to have a little girl running around and I can dress her up in cute little clothing." My heart fluttered at the thought.
"A little you running around would be a lot better than a little Dec." Emily laughed.
"Either way, I think they will get his attitude. Attitude is very contagious around here."
"Is that suppose to be pointed to me?" Emily crossed her arms.
"I didn't say that. But if the shoe fits." I giggled.
Emily huffed before the teacher started speaking.
"Good morning everyone. Today's class is going to be a little different than what I last discussed. We will be going over the healing properties incased in-" We heard the doors to the classroom bust open and a out of breath Ella was bent down with her hands resting on her knees.
"Miss Steele, can I help you with something? May I ask why you feel the need to disrupt my class?" The teacher crossed their arms.
"I'm so- sorry.. hold on I'm out of breath.." Ella huffed before standing up straight.
"Alpha David sent me to pull Kiara and Emily out of class." Ella briefly explained.
"Very well. Girls, please be quick I am on a tight time schedule to deliver the information planned for today." The teacher made a shooing motion.
Emily quickly grabbed all of my books before I could and walked towards the once frantic Ella. I stood to my feet and followed behind her, keeping my eye contact to the floor because everyone was staring at me and I don't do well under that kind of judgement. Emily and I exited the class, while Ella pulled the doors closed behind us.
"Nice one Ella. Let me tell you, I did not want to sit in that classroom today." Emily laughed as we both turned to look at a concerned face.
"Is everything alright?" I asked.
