Decebel's POV

I can already tell being home is making my rage grow stronger and stronger. I only woke up about 10 minutes ago and the aura that surrounds this place is smothering me. I injected a whole vial of wolfsbane in me last night and it didn't have the effect it does when I'm not around here. Which is strange. Kiara texted me last night to tell me she made it home okay and that she was going to bed. It's 6:55am and I'm still just lying here. I need to get up and work out for a little while before I pack my bag and head back to see Kiara. I pulled myself out of bed and slipped on some basketball shorts. I slipped on some sneakers and opened my door. What caught my attention was way out of ordinary. I got smacked in the face with my mates scent and the sound of her giggling coming down the hall. I quickly ran down the hall to see Kiara sitting on the cough next to my mother, who was holding a baby book.

"Kiara? What the hell are you doing here?!" I tried to hide the concern in my voice.

"Decebel, you didn't tell me how LOVELY your mate is." Marianna tried to pull a sweet tone.

"I thought you didn't have a good relationship with your mother?" She asked.

"I don't." I stared blankly at my mother.

"You didn't answer the question. Why are you here?" I asked Kiara again.

"I wanted to surprise you. Plus, I felt like I would give you company when you walked back to the pack house." She smiled.

"Why don't you stay for breakfast?" Marianna looked at her with a welcoming smile.

"Su-" Kiara started to answer but I quickly cut her off.

"No. We must be leaving. I have to grab my bag." I grabbed Kiara's hand and made no time in between while I dragged her down the hall, into my bedroom.

"Why don't you want to have breakfast with her?" Kiara asked, with a worried tone.

"I don't like her." I shoved clothes into my bag.

"She might be lonely Dec, or she might be trying to rekindle something." Kiara laid her hand on my arm.

I looked into her sincere eyes.

"You don't know my mother, baby. Please just listen to me and drop this conversation. There's reasons to why I don't want you coming here. Blow my phone up all you want with how much you miss me or want to see me. Just please, promise me you will not come here again." I pleaded with her.

"I trust you. I will listen." She wrapped her arms around me.

"Good girl. Now, let's get out of here."
