Bella's POV

"There's nothing to talk about." David crossed his arms.

"Bella, I have a meeting in a couple hours, we really need to start headed out." Victor added in.

"You're going to have to kill me before that happens." David said smugly.

"As tempting as that would be, I'd rather have you alive. I have to say, it would get boring not getting arrested by your guards every couple weeks." Victor said with a smirk.

"David stop. We need to talk, thats not a request." I put my foot down.

"Then we talk ALONE." David gestured Victor to the door.

"Yeah, I'd rather not leave her side incase you decide to lock her up too." Victor shrugged.

"Victor, honey, please give us a few minutes." I looked into his stunning blue eyes.

Victor thought for a minute before nodding his head and heading back inside the palace.

"Bella, I absolutely forbid this from happening. That man is not good for you and you're too young." David laid out his concern.

"Why is he not good for me? Is it because of his disease? I already know about it, we have spoke on the topic." I tried to figure out where the concern lies.

"Victor is and has been involved in illegal activities for over 100 years, Bell. That is no life for someone like you to be subjected to. Especially a princess at that." David placed his fingers to pinch the bridge of his nose.

"As much as you can say that he's not right for me, you're wrong. He's my mate, David. You know I don't choose that. Mom does." I sighed.

"Where have you had the time to see him?" David straight out asked me.

"When I was with Annabeth, I was really with Victor." I rubbed my neck.

David let out a big sigh,

"Did she know this as well?"

"Yes, but don't take this out on her. Annabeth is my best friend and shes my guardian. There was confidentiality along with that. The reason why I didn't want to bring this up was for this reason." I plopped back down on the bench.

"You know I only want whats best for you Bella." He sat down next to me with a sigh.

"Yeah, well, sometimes you don't know whats best for me." I looked off into the distance, Victor was down talking to Beta Adam while looking up at me.

"I thought your dream was to be head professor at the academy? Just because a man comes into the picture you're just going to give up on it?" David said with disappointment and irritation.

"David, he's not just some man. He's my mate, the other half of me. And for the record, being head professor at the academy is still my dream. It's just fate had other plans for me." I smiled down at Victor, who gave me a smirk back.

"How do you think the people would feel knowing their princess has left the Royal family life to go to be a Luna to a dangerous illegal pack? It would look bad on the Royal name." David tried to make sense of the whole situation.

"They're not that dangerous, brother. They just need some guidance. Victor keeps law and order between the rogues, while my job would to be nurture and give protection to the people. You know how important it is to have a Luna in a pack, just as important as an Alpha. If I have to give up the academy and my future here to spend my life beside Victor and help lead his pack, so be it. I hope that you would respect any decision that I make." I stood up and stood my ground in front of him, still standing with grace.
