Kiara's POV

I always loved walking in the morning, down through the trails to the temple. Canada is a very beautiful country. I love that were on our original territory, but I miss the states. We moved to Canada not long after my grandmother Mary died. She didn't die when Daniel died. She held on the best she could to meet her grandchild, me. After she met me as a young baby, it was time for her to move on and be with her mate in the afterlife. I don't blame her though, you're mate is apart of you. I wouldn't want to life without mine either. As I was walking down the trail, a smell pulled me out of my thoughts.

"That smell is so intoxicating...!"

"I know." I answered back through the link.

The smell smelt like something I've never smelt so potent. It smelt like... campfire and.... WOLVESBANE?! Wait... what could this mean? Is someone burning wolvesbane? Why though? It makes no sense.

"There's another wolf coming, hide." Angela sent through the link.

I jumped into one of the bushes, enough where I was hidden but I could see everything.

"Who is that?" I asked through the link.

"I don't know. I don't recognize his scent." Angela replied.

"The smell is coming from him." I sent.

He has the most intoxicating eyes. He was as big as an alpha wolf, almost as big as my father! He has to be dominant. Before I could get too much of a look at him he took off faster than anyone I've ever seen.

"Do you think we know them??" I asked Angela.

"I don't know.. but I'm intrigued."

Kiara's POV

"Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior" I sang in a low pitch.

"I cant get this stupid song out of my head." I thought out loud as I finished putting the last coat of glossy finish on the walls.

"Well, its a good thing you sing beautifully then." I heard Selene say from behind me.

"Jesus! You started me." I jumped.

Selene giggled.

"Happy birthday baby." Selene followed with a smile.

"Thanks gran." I smiled back before I bent down to grab the box that had some ancient decor in it.

"What are you doing here so early? It's your birthday you should have slept in." Selene asked.
