Decebel's POV

"Did I fucking ask for your name?" I rolled my eyes.

"No, nor did I need your permission to tell you." She smirked, walking behind a desk and sitting in a chair.

She started typing at the computer, not paying any attention to some random person standing in the office.

"Aren't you going to question why I just fucking fell in here?" I said before sitting in the chair across from her.

"No, because I already know why. Plus, I already know who you are. You are pretty well known down here in Purgatory." She laughed.

"Fuck. So I'm dead?" I sighed.

"No, not quite. You're in what is known as a dead state. Your body is still alive in the real world, while your soul came here to wait. More known as where you rightfully belong." She explained, still typing on the computer.

"Is that what you're doing? Waiting?" I raised a brow at her.

"No, I'm actually dead. I died before I was born. I just belong here, so now I just deal with secretary work and working on getting people in their designated spots down here in purgatory. I also occasionally handle the people who are stuck in the In-Between. That's only when they have some sort of relation to me or what would have been apart of my life." She explained calmly.

"You like what your doing?" I asked.

"What is this? 21 fucking questions?" She looked at me and laughed.

"Piss off will you?" I rolled my eyes.

"In your dreams." She mocked me.

"You're fucking annoying, you know that?" I stood from the chair.

"Get used to it, because once you really die, you will be working with me a lot more than you think." She shrugged.

"Remind me to never die then." I shrugged back at her with a smug look on my face.

She just giggled to herself.

"How long am I stuck here?" I growled.

"I don't know. Can't say for sure, a couple days, a couple months, a couple years? Who knows, nor do I care to know." Melina focused on the computer in front of her.

"That won't do. I promised Kiara that I would be there for the first ultrasound of my child. I need to wake up now." I demanded.

"Your mates pregnant?" She looked at me with a soft tone.

"Yeah, shouldn't you fucking know that?" I looked at her like she was stupid.

"I don't get that much information on clients." She leaned back in her chair with a sigh.

"Is there anything I can do? I really need to be there for her, I don't want to miss that." I rubbed my head.

"The best option I can give you is this key. This key opens the room down the hall, it allows your spirit to be in the room your vessel that carries your soul is in. You'll be able to see and hear everything through your spirit. You just cant talk or move your body." She reached in her drawer and handed me a key.

"If that's the best option, I'll take it." I snatched the key out of her hand and walked to the door to exit the office.

"If you need anything, you know where I'll be. I suggest you don't need anything." With that I pulled the door open and exited.
