EPILOGUE PART 1

"Alexander!"

I looked at my friend, paul.

"What's up, man?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders and continued studying while we're in the classroom. Any minutes now our quiz will start and I need to pass it with a high score.

Siniko ulit ako ni paolo at ngumuso sa labas ng bintana.

And there, I saw sedeina martini again.

Nang makita nyang tumingin ako sa direksyon niya ay agad siyang tumakbo papalayo.

"She's not really your type?" Nang-aasar na tanong ni paul saakin.

Hindi ko siya sinagot at nagpatuloy lang sa pag-aaral.

"Well... She's perfect." Sabi ni paul. "If ever she's into me, I'll definitely reciprocate her feelings." He daydreamed.

"But, she's into you." Mapait siyang tumawa at umalis sa tabi ko para bumalik sa upuan niya.

I looked at where sedeina stand earlier.

Everyone knows that she likes me. They think of me as a lucky man because sedeina martini likes me which is not really a thing to be praise for me. I don't like her.

Sabi nila nagpakabulag-bulagan daw ako.

They don't understand that I don't like her. I don't like sedeina martini. Mahirap bang ipaintindi yon?

I'm more focused on my studies than paying attention on her.

YEARS had passed. I graduated. Passed the board exam with flying grades. Got a position at work.

My life is something that anyone couldn't trade off. Even me, I don't like my life. It's colorless, bored and not secured.

"Come on, alexander! If we make an business partnership with the meyer's our company will strive further!" My mother stormed.

Napailing ako at napahilamos ng mukha. I know that I cannot decline their offer. This is my life, I need to obey them because they raise me, shelter me, feed me, and they are my parents.

Tahimik akong tumango sa sinabi niya at walang sabi na umalis sa opisina. I heard my mother muttured some joyful words, but I cannot bring myself to her happiness. I don't want to get married by this age.

My life is steady. Work, rest, work rest. For the whole four years I've been working. Our company is raising, but my parents weren't satisfied. They want me to marry the heir of meyer, delancy.

"Hi."

I didn't acknowledge the person who called me. I know it's delancy.

I looked at my champagne while playing with the ice in it.

Tumabi si delancy saakin. I could see her staring at me from my peripheral view. Napailing ako at tinoon ang buong atensyon sa syudad.

"I want this to work, alexander." She said. "I know that you only knew me because of the proposal, but I knew you ever since we were in collage."

Napatigil ako sa pagtingin sa mga paligid at tahimik na nakikinig sakanya.

"And I like you so much..." She confessed. "The reason why I didn't hesitate about the engagement is because I like you."

I looked at her. She smiled sweetly.

Maybe, I can settle with her?

Months being with delancy went smooth. We didn't give our relationship a status. I don't want to put herself in a situation that I'm not sure. Months being with her are not likely.
