as changbin nervously waited for chan to finish his class that day, his eyes couldn't help but wander around his surroundings. he didn't expect to be this anxious to talk to him about it, but he knew that he had to do something.

ever since jisung had told him about what his supposedly 'best friend' had been doing all this time to hyunjin, there hasn't be a day where changbin wasn't thinking about it. there were so many questions he wanted to know.

just why? why is he doing all of this? for what reason really? how long has it been going without him knowing? changbin didn't know any of the answers but he wanna know, and most importantly, he wanna hear it from chan himself.

the more seconds passed, the more changbin grew even more nervous. despite jisung reassuring him that he didn't need to do anything, he still felt this huge responsibility inside of him. after all, chan is his best friend. or is he?

changbin didn't seem to realise how deep in thoughts he was, the sound of the classroom doors opening moments later. this immediately snapped him back into reality, anticipating to see chan walking out.

it didn't take him long when he watched chan stepping out of the classroom, changbin standing up straight as he called out for him. "chan." he finally opened his mouth, this making chan turn around to face him.

"oh changbin," chan smiled softly at him. "were you waiting for me?"

changbin didn't say anything else and nodded, chan smiling even wider in response. "let's go, i heard that there's these really good desserts in the cafeteria." chan excitedly informed him.

as changbin walked side by side along with chan, he couldn't help but glance over to his side profile at every second. why is he struggling to bring the topic up? chan was just making it even harder for him, he couldn't do this.

chan is his best friend after all, how can he gather the courage up to tell him? but then again, if he really is his best friend then he would tell him everything that's bothering him right? even when it so happens to be about chan himself.

he wouldn't do such a thing right? he'd known chan for a very long time, surely he would've told him everything by now. but if this is the one thing he never told him, could he really be considered a loyal best friend?

all of the secrets they would share with one another, changbin already has a very special bond with him. and now, was that all for nothing? was chan hiding something from him that he didn't know all this time?

whatever it is, changbin wanna hear it from chan himself. after all, he doesn't wanna lose him or drop him from his life. because knowing him, he must have a good reason for it right? he is, overall, his best friend that's always been by his side.

making their way to the cafeteria, they quickly paid for the dessert and began walking outside. "i love the weather today, how about you?" chan smiled at the bright sun, changbin only following from behind.

"oh yeah, it's good." changbin could only answer, finding it even more harder to tell him.

he has to do something, it was either now or never.

"um, chan," he then called out after taking a few deep breaths, earning a small hum from chan. "can i talk to you about something? you know... in private?"

the moment chan heard that, he only lifted his head down to face him. "oh okay," he slightly tilted his head in confusion. "what's it about?"

"just come." changbin only said, gently grabbing onto chan to lead him to somewhere else. it didn't take them long when it was only the two of them, the older giving confused looks.
