Chapter 35

Tedy Nilla's POV

"Ready na ba yung SBD? Let me taste it nga." Lumapit ako sa cooker at tinikman yung SBD.

"Good, quite the same. Okay, she'll be here in a minute. Be sure to serve it when Secretary Arc said so. Areglado?" They nodded.

Pumasok na agad ako sa office. May sala sa office na kung saan pwede kaming mag-usap. Umupo na ako dito dahil nga nagtext si Maquen na malapit na sila.

Si Maquen ang inutusan kung puntahan si Miss Aly kasi siya yung nakameet sa kaya no'ng wala kami. Nakapag-usap din daw sila kaya komportable na panigurado si Miss Aly.

I'm so excited to meet her already.

A knock on the door made me stand.

"Sir, they already arrive." Secretary Arc said when entering the door.

"Okay, let her in." Tapos umupo na ulit ako.

Pagbukas ng pinto, tumayo ako at halos lumabas ang eyeballs ko sa laki ng mata ko dahil sa pagkagulat.

"Liana? What are you doing here?" Nagtatakang tanong ko.

She's wearing a blue plain dress, above the knee.

"You should be calling me, Miss Aly, Mister Nilla." She proudly said.

"You're kidding me." Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ko. This is unbelievable but she just answered me with a smile.

"Can I have a seat, Sir?" She formally asked.

Nabalik naman ako sa diwa ko kaya napailing ako. "Of course."

Nang makaupo kami, silence filled the room until she spoke.

"Uhm, Sir. If you talk about bussiness, personal reasons should be unacceptable." She explained.

"Yeah. You're right. Okay, maybe Maquen already talked a lot. So, this is the contract." I presented the contract to her, then.

"May I read it first?" She formally asked, again.

"Sure."

Binasa na niya ito at habang binabasa ay napakunot ang noo niya which is I assumed, hindi niya nagustuhan.

"Sir, 50-50? No. Please change this." Nilapag niya yung contract at tinuro yung sa 50-50% part.

Eto yung part na kung saan, ang pera ng product ay 50-50 na mahahati sa amin at sa kanya.

"Why? D'you want it 60-40? 60 for you and 40 for us?" Nagtatakang tanong ko. Paniguradong yun ang ibig niyang sabihin. Syempre, product niya yun e.

"Yup. 60-40. But, it's a 60 for you and 40 for me." She answered with a smile.

Napaayos ako ng upo sa sinabi niya. Hindi ko 'to expected syempre. I mean, why would a bussiness woman asked for that kind of percent? It was her product!

"Any problem with that, sir?"

Napangiti ako. It's still you, Liana. The goodness and the fairness. I know she has a good explanation to this.

"Why would you want that?" I asked.

"Well, sir. MaMeHaTe Resto is a big and a well-known restaurant. My SBD was just a made-of out of boredom. Why would I want to have a big amount then when I just have to pass the product that I made out of boredom? At isa pa sir, your cooker will cook it and I just have to sit and relax and wait for the money. So, it's obvious na dapat sa inyo yung big amount." She innocently said.

That's my girl. Kagaya noon, she's still so honest and fair. I smiled.

"So, can I have a pen now, Sir?"
