the last class was finally over.
jisung walked outside of his class, waiting secretly for his senior to come so they can go together without anyone realizing. much to heuningkai's confusion, he stood in a corner, impatiently waiting for who knows what.
"you're waiting for your girlfriend now?" heuningkai jokingly asked jisung, who jolted his head in surprise. "didn't know you still wanted her even after...that incident."
"for fuck's sake, kai, he's not my girlfriend. besides, that bitch is a he, not a she," jisung said nonchalantly. "and i'm not waiting for him, i'm just...simply standing here."
"yeah, right, as if i'm going to believe that," heuningkai rolled his eyes. "we all know you're waiting for him, and the fact that you have a crush on him."
"no i don't! if i did, i wouldn't have spent my time ignoring him and would have cut to the chase!" jisung practically half-yelled at him. "anyways, i'll be going because i don't want any more misunderstandings."
he briskly walked out of the hallway, cutting heuningkai off, while secretly hoping that chenle had reached the dorms already and he waited for no reason. part of him wanted to at least text him that he's going to the dorms early, but immediately denied the idea.
🍂
jisung reached for the doorknob, but the door was locked, much to his relief. he knocked on the wood, indicating the older that he's back from class. "open the door, bitch, it's me."
the door opened, and he was immediately engulfed in a hug, a dead weight to support. he looked in shock as he realized that it was chenle, his hands wrapped around his nape, pulling him close. jisung reciprocated the sudden embrace, still confused on what just happened.
"i missed you..." chenle whispered in a voice so feeble, contrasting his normally loud self. "i really did..."
jisung fell silent, still confused at the loving gesture plus the words. he held chenle close as he asked, hoping to not piss him off. "why though? normally you would have wanted me to get the hell out of here, now what happened?"
unlike what he expected, to bitch at him, chenle was surprisingly calm, and pulled out of the embrace, still using him as a physical support. "i just...wanted to see you, since you took so long...and i just..."
all words escaped his mouth as he fell on the younger again, his weakened hands embracing his nape, almost falling unconscious.
jisung wrapped his hands around his waist tightly as he looked at him concerningly. "you alright...?"
"i don't know...i just feel weird..." came the feeble reply. "just..don't stop holding me."
jisung decided to obey chenle's command, and pulled him onto his shoulder, startling him. he walked over laboriously to the couch and kept him gently on to the soft fabric, his expression tired and sniffling.
he kept his palm on the older's forehead to check his temperature and immediately understood what happened to him. he was having a fever, and he was really tired.
after keeping chenle on the couch, jisung walked over to his room, confusing him. "wait..! where...exactly are you going after keeping me over here, bitch?" he yelled out with his remaining energy, pissed at the turn of events.
the maknae leaned on to the doorway, looking at chenle in an almost teasing way. "you really want me to sleep with you, isn't it?"
"n-no...i'm just really tired and daegallie loves to play during this time. so she won't cuddle with me..." chenle drooped his head as he told the truth. "and...you're the only person here...so i thought..."
"aww, you really love cuddles, don't you?" jisung said as he beamed at him. "just wait for a while, i'll come back after showering."
chenle drooped his head down in disagreement as he looked over to his room, the door slightly open and he could see daegal playing through the slit. she emerged out of the room, with a ball in her mouth as she ran around the hallways.
everything fell into a dark blur as his eyes started to fatigue, almost sleeping off. the sound of the door opening, however, made him open his eyes to see jisung smiling at him, his hair wet from showering.
jisung pulled chenle up and kept him on his lap, chenle straddling him in the process. without even disagreeing, he wrapped his hands around the younger's nape, kept his head on to his shoulder and slept off. jisung leaned on to the couch, while slowly caressing chenle's figure.
jisung lost track of the time as he gently held chenle in pure serendipity. everything was perfect— chenle in his hands sleeping peacefully, his warmth engulfing his cold body, the bichon frolicking about, not giving a care about the two of them.
jisung felt his tiredness kicking in, as he gradually slept off with the boy in his hands.
🍂
chenle woke up to see himself on the bed, lacking jisung's strong hands around him the last time he was awake. he struggled to get out of the bed, and leaned on the doorway to see the maknae playing with daegal.
the feeling of being watched made jisung turn his head to the doorway. a smile took over his facial features as he looked at the boy, his hair unkempt, one of the straps on his dress falling off his shoulder, looking at him with partly tired eyes.
jisung stood up and approached chenle, towering his height. he wrapped his hands around the older's waist and pulled him close, much to his surprise. "are you feeling better now...?" he asked in a comforting tone.
chenle nodded silently as he looked off into the distance, a frown taking over his expression. jisung, on the other hand, didn't notice his crappy mood and excused himself after realizing something, and immediately speedwalked to the kitchen.
chenle looked longingly at jisung doing whatever shit he's doing in the kitchen. ever since jaemin called him as his boyfriend, he just couldn't look at the younger in the same way ever again. his face burned as his imagination took over him, giving him imageries of how his life would be if they decided to be actually together.
jisung would be there with him even after they graduate college, sharing kisses in the corners when no one's looking, and even go on dates. those things would be much easier to happen since jisung's parents think that they're a couple.
but sometimes, chenle just wanted that to happen...without the influence of his parents.
his face burned even more when he realized what exactly what he was fantasizing about. "no, that will never happen. this bitch and me? together? hell no. just because he's hot and caring at the same time doesn't mean shit. we'll just forget each other later on in life. this is just for now."
jisung emerged out of the kitchen, carefully holding a steaming cup. he speedwalked over to chenle and handed the cup over to him. "i thought some tea would help with your tiredness," he beamed wholesomely at the older.
chenle looked at him longingly as he took a sip of the steaming liquid. "um...ji..."
"yes?" jisung asked as he looked at him concerningly. "is there something wrong?"
"you used salt instead of sugar."
"i...ah fuck..." jisung groaned as he facepalmed to himself. he tried to carefully take the cup from his hands, but chenle slapped him off, frowning at him. he drank the not-so-appetizable liquid at one gulp, shuddering in disgust after a second. "next time, i'll make the tea, and don't go into the kitchen."
jisung looked at chenle as if he wanted to say that the pan catastrophe was caused by him and they lost a kitchen utensil because of that, but stood silent as he agreed wordlessly.
"he's adorable, oh lord..." chenle thought silently, wholesomely beaming as he ruffled his hair. chenle loved everything about jisung, from his stupidly oblivious self to his dominant façade. and he knew it was too late to do anything.
he was completely in love with him.
