"xing-xing! get your brother back over here!"

a seemingly familiar old woman creeped up to a very noisy apartment door, clearly hearing the sounds of a very mischevious child, the random babbles of a toddler, and the yells of a very tired mother.

she knocked on the door, ready to confront everything with her son who left her because of her narrow-minded ideals. the noises continued on as the children giggled loudly, until footsteps were heard, reaching the door.

the wood swung slowly, and she couldn't help but curl her lips into a sad smile as she looked longingly at her son's husband, for she never spared a loving glance at him after he finally came out with the truth.

"why...are you here...? you didn't want us anymore, so we left. isn't that not enough...?" chenle asked, after keeping silent for a few moments. "and if you still want him to come back as straight, i'm sorry, that won't ever happen."

she remained silent as she was guilty of what chenle just stated. she drooped her head down in defeat, tears threatening to come out of her eyes. "how...is jisung right now...?" she asked, her voice faltering.

"he's completely fine, we settled down here with xingzuo and byeol," chenle said, his tone slightly annoyed. "your grandchildren, if you forgot."

"can i see them...?" she asked, words struggling to come out. "i...just want to apologize with what i did a long time ago...i promise, i did change my ideals, and i'm happy for the two of you..."

chenle fell silent as he thought for a moment. "come inside," he breathed out as he let her in, still upset at the hurtful words she retorted at him long time ago.

"mommy...? who's she...?" xingzuo tugged at chenle's dress, clearly concerned for his mother.

he let out a sigh as he struggled to speak out the one sentence he never wanted to ever tell."she's your grandma, xing-xing. i really thought she left us long time ago."

jisung knocked on the door, exhausted as always. being a drummer while working for his neighbour and name twin was something he never expected to be as his stream was not completely focused on music, it was mainly focused on science instead, and he was dreaming to have a better, more mainstream job.

needless to say, even if he did not expect this change, he welcomed it with open hands. besides, he dropped out before his freshman year ended, so his chances were supposed to be even lower for a mainstream job.

the door opened, and he immediately pulled chenle into a loving embrace, before giving him a quick kiss. he then took notice that something was greatly troubling the older, and immediately cut to the chase. "what happened, baby? is there something wrong?"

"see it for yourself," chenle sighed heavily as he squirmed out of his grasp, his facial expression screaming annoyed and concerned to the maximum. jisung flopped down onto one of the couches, still confused about the situation.

until he heard his mother's voice.

"oh, it's been so long..." she trailed off as she approached him, manifesting a sad smile, one that screams longing and guilt. "how's everything going—"

"i thought we're over this, mom," jisung cut her off, his voice turning angrier as he continued, "you threw us out just because of what? chenle's not a girl? he was literally inconsolable after that, you have no clue on how much he just wanted to fucking die and get over this because he thought he was ruining my life! and not to mention, i was already thinking of leaving everything behind and never ever talk to you again."
