jaemin collapsed on the floor, his clothes stained with blood as he gasped for breath. tears fell out of his eyes as he stared at the floor, worried sick for someone whom he almost considered his younger brother.
his mind wandered to the image of his best friend, and what might be chenle's reaction to see the love of his life dead on the pavement.
jaemin quickly pushed those thoughts out to the back of his head as he knew how bad that would be. he made a quick mental note to never, ever tell chenle about what happened to jisung, and probably build up a wall of lies just protect him from the situation.
he does not ever want his dear best friend to go the same way as jisung did, especially since chenle has a child, the last remnant of jisung that he must take care of...if he could not...come back to see him ever again.
jaemin started to quietly cry as he wanted neither of them to ever leave, praying desperately for the younger's life in the process.
"ah, ow!"
jaemin felt someone brush over his leg and fall face-down on the hospital floor, when he looked up to see what it was.
his eyes went wide as he immediately took to his heels and helped the blonde up, who was still groaning in pain. he pulled him up and made him sit on one of the seats nearby, until he realized who exactly he was.
"h-hyung! what the fuck are you doing in here?" jaemin snapped at the older, who was still groaning in pain.
"ah, uh, jaem? why are you here?" jisung stuttered as he held his sore forehead. "i-i...came here because chenle's water broke and he's currently going into labor."
jaemin let out a gasp as he was out of words. his lips quivered as he wanted to query more, knowing clearly that the father of his child is fighting for his life a room away. "h-he's already...9 months in?"
jisung sighed in relief as he nodded his head to show a weak smile at jaemin. "to be honest, i didn't feel like it either. i guess time passed by so fast without me noticing- wait, jaem? why are your clothes...bloody?"
jaemin finally noticed his blood-stained clothes, and was immediately about to break down once again. "h-hyung..." he started as he struggled to keep a steady pace with his words. "please...don't ever...say this to lele."
"why? what happened? did someone die?" jisung started to query questions feverishly, worried sick about what exactly was happening. "answer me, jaem!"
"his boyfriend...tried to commit suicide," jaemin spoke out, his voice as silent as a whisper. "he couldn't take it anymore and wanted to end his suffering. please...i beg you, don't tell this to chenle. if he finds out...i don't want him to go this exact way..."
all words left the older's mouth as he let this dreadful information sink in. he was immediately hit with a sudden pang of losing something forever, something that gives him a feeling of déjà vu of a certain someone...
jisung remembered how exactly he missed wookjin, vividly.
he knew how hard it was to lose the one whom he loved so much, and recalled the fact that he barely slept a wink for the first few days, and even resorted to killing himself as he just wanted to end his suffering and be with him up above.
but he just could not, as he had...just one more reason to live.
park bae.
the only remnant of wookjin's presence.
