"slow down, bae!"

jisung let out sharp gasps as he stopped chasing his daughter, who ran out of their temporary home with the fluffball in her hands, the two resolute to find her parents.

it was way too early for daegal to be wake during the marriage vows, but the moment she woke up, she made a whole fuss for she bitterly missed her owners, and that caught bae's attention, so she decided to bring her to the newlyweds.

but letting a completely hyper puppy run around in a crowd of a lot of people was a disaster of an idea, and unfortunately enough, her dad caught her redhanded, which led her to hastily beat a retreat until she disappeared in between the crowds.

pushing away the tall grown ups, bae stopped to catch a breath, simultaneously catching the attention of the newlyweds. daegal started to squirm in her hands, itching to run to her owners any moment soon. "aunt lele! uncle ji!" she yelled out, letting daegal go.

the fluffball jumped on to chenle's lap, licking his hands as he rubbed her head, snuggling with the bride, almost camouflaging in the white mess. almost immediately, the older jisung came to the scene, clutching bae's hand to scold her. "bae, don't run like that, oh god, i'm so fucking done..."

"she really made you run laps, didn't she, hyung?" chenle giggled as he glanced at his neighbour clutching his back, letting out deep heavy breaths. jisung only nodded in the affirmative as he grabbed his daughter's tiny hand, sighing as he mentally facepalmed. "where's xingzuo anyways...?" he spoke out, his phrases fragmented between deep breaths.

"he's with yang squared hyung. xing-xing really loves him so much, he doesn't even want to be with lele anymore," the younger jisung answered the question, beckoning to yangyang and xingzuo, lost in their own little world, laughing at who knows what.

"yang...squared?" the older raised an eyebrow.

"ah, that's my nickname for yangyang-ge. it's funnier to call him yang squared, although i call him...something else," chenle beamed, trailing off, which only seemed to intrigue his neighbour's curiosity even more.

"let me guess...profanity, i presume?" the older jisung sighed as he facepalmed for the second time again. "i hope you do realize not to swear at the babies. please do control that at times..."

"dad, let me go! i want to talk to uncle nana and nono!" bae squirmed, her hand trying to slither her way out of her father's. sensing his neighbour's turmoil about the topic he just brought up, chenle sided with the couple. "uh, hyung, you can let bae go. jaemin and jeno are really fond of babies and won't even try to ruin their minds. it's honestly me who's...the problem..."

chenle's self-deprecating sentence made his husband immediately pull him into an embrace,  kissing his forehead as jisung's hand ran down his spine. "you're not the problem, baby, don't call yourself that. so what if you do have a habit of swearing, it's not like xing-xing's not going to learn that after a while..."

the bride could only let out a quiet sob as he launched himself on his husband's arms, while jisung tried to console him quietly. the older jisung facepalmed for the third time at his name twin's defending explanation, albeit physically. yet still, he did not want chenle to feel anything more bad because of his explanation. "look, chenle, i didn't mean that you're the problem. it's just that...maybe you two have to calm down with your vocabulary. children shouldn't learn that at such a small age."

"a-alright..." chenle spoke out, his voice strained.

"maybe you two should have some private time together and clear things out. i'm really sorry for putting the blame on you for this, lele," the older jisung suggested, which only made the couple's faces burn a slight crimson.
