the vibrations of his phone ringing brought jisung up from his sleep. he stumbled over to find his phone and switched it off, not having the energy to get up.

the maknae felt terrible; as if the whole world was on the support of his head, his mind traveling at a hundred miles per hour. he wanted chenle back, and wanted him to apologize for what just happened, but at the same time, jisung wanted to hold him close, caress his face and tell him that he is sincerely sorry for being violent on him.

daegal woke up and squirmed in his grasp, which meant jisung had to force himself to wake up so that could feed her. he woke up and took the bichon out of the fluffy bed, his legs almost collapsing on his way to the kitchen.

while he mindlessly poured the contents of the dog food on to the bowl, he took his phone and called his friend whom he just talked to, yesterday. "uh, kai, you there?"

"fucking give my bread back you stupid bitch— ji? i'll call you back, i'm in the middle of something right now..."

jisung stared at his phone confusingly as sounds of stuff falling down and another person's voice yelling the word 'bread' 15 times, until heuningkai's voice was properly heard. "ah, uh, w-what is it you need?"

"can you come over? it...feels weird going by my own."

the line went silent for a few seconds minus the distant sounds of the same person who spoke out the word 'bread' a shit ton of times. "uh, sure...just give me a minute, i'll be there!"

🍂

"so...you've decided now?" heuningkai asked as he smiled at his friend wholesomely.

"no...not yet. i'm still feeling a bit...too weirded out to approach him right now," jisung drooped his head down hopelessly. "i don't even know where he lives right now..."

"can't you ask his friends? they might know," heuningkai suggested.

"well...i don't know, the only hyung i know who also knows him is jaemin, but i don't think i could meet him...he's mostly wasted in coffee during class," jisung replied. "i have to see-"

jisung was cut off by someone running past him, a blaze of black suddenly wooshing by. he looked at the direction where the wind blew and immediately recognized chenle.

"wait, isn't that your roommate?!" heuningkai said, equally as surprised. he pushed him lightly, bringing him back to reality. "go and confront him then!"

"uh...should i?! what if it makes everything worse?" jisung asked, panic filling his voice and expression.

"might as well make a run for it, you really can't do anything else," heuningkai said nonchalantly as he walked in a different direction. "it's now or never, ji."

jisung decided to heed his words as he ran, trying to find chenle in the midst of the crowds. "lele! come over here for a second!" he yelled out, much to his dismay, he didn't even care.

chenle, on the other hand, heard exactly that jisung was calling him, but decided to stay silent as he briskly walked into his classroom, leaving the younger confused as a result.

jisung gave up as chenle disappeared into the crowds, leaving him in the dust. he sighed as he walked into his class, tears almost falling out of his eyes as he believed he made everything worse.

🍂

chenle walked into his class, throwing his bags carelessly on the back seat, next to his best friends. instead of greeting him with the usual 'bitch, come over here', the two were uncannily silent, staring at him as he sat on the chair.

"so...how did everything go with your crush? did he even say an apology, or did he leave you completely, hmm?" yangyang asked, his tone sceptic and questioning.

"huh, what? gege, i have no idea what you meant!" chenle freaked out, confused on how he knew.

"don't play dumb, bitch. nana told me everything, i thought we never keep secrets," yangyang said firmly. "and besides, i won't judge you either. i just want to know if everything's fine."

"no...gege, he called me in between the crowd but i ignored him because i just don't want him to tell me that he hates me over again," chenle said hopelessly, not happy with the turn of events.

"when did you get this self-deprecating, huh? you aren't the lele i knew all this time," jaemin joined in the conversation, startling him. "bitch, he's there to apologize. i told you, his stubborn self will go away after a while and he'll crawl back to you."

"but what if it wasn't an apology...?" chenle asked, sceptical of where this is going.

"bitch, trust me. that's him apologizing. i know him better than you do, no matter how many times he fucked you," jaemin said frustratedly. "go and talk to him in the evening. see what he thinks, alright?"

"wait, what about..."

"your crush? confess to him, there's no way out of this other than that," jaemin smirked as he told in a firm tone. "tell him that you want to be more than friends, or else, stay single."

"alright..."

the rest of the class passed by like it was nothing, chenle's mind going back to images of his blonde roommate every now and then.

🍂

both of their classes ended and both jisung and chenle were equally melancholic.

the moment the classes ended, chenle immediately started packing everything and walked out of the place briskly, leaving jaemin and yangyang confused.

it took the two a while to catch up with chenle, but then finally stopped him from walking any further. "what happened? why are you so impatient for leaving class today? don't you have a problem to solve?"

chenle turned back and forced a smile at the two. "well, i have some stuff to help out with my hyungs. i'll take care of that bitch later. besides, he left the place before us."

"but..." jaemin trailed off as he looked around, and to his surprise, jisung was not there. "...alright, but do tell me when he finally gets his ass towards you, i don't want you two to bicker like this."

"sure, nana, i promise," chenle said calmly as he walked out of the place, leaving them both sceptical of where this is going.

jisung, on the other hand, was staring longingly at him in the corner of the building, slowly but patiently waiting for any clues on where he was going. once he made sure both jaemin and yangyang left the place, he started to follow him back to where he's staying.

to his surprise, the way was really familiar to him— it was the same path used to directly go to mark's and renjun's house. he kept on following chenle as he finally reached his hyungs' house, while he looked at what he was doing in the distance.

chenle knocked on the door, oblivious of the maknae stalking him. the door opened, revealing a very excited couple, renjun's hands chock-full of decorations. they let him in, and before jisung could walk to the entrance, they closed the door.
