In the morning, when Beatrix woke up, Zander is not beside her anymore. She immediately asked the servants and they told her that the young master woke up so early to attend a court meeting.

The following night, she gently told him the harsh truth but he did not give up! He continued practicing and doing some sparring with the General's people. She could see his strong determination and as his wife, she decided to support him and help him in her simple way... She would cheer for him, encourage him to eat different nutritious food, and drink healthy beverages but he continues to become thinner, paler, and badly beaten from both mental and physical training every night. She feels sorry for him but seeing his indomitable and unyielding spirit, she cannot help but admire him more and more! She continued to sleep beside him every night because she noticed that he is peaceful whenever she is near him...

Several days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and months turned to years, Zander's daily routine involves attending whole-day court meetings; nightly academic lessons, consultations, etiquette training under his wife; and finally, his late-night martial arts training as a punching bag or target practice for the general's people!

Beatrix could not help but remember all of his hardship as she embraced him after he told her the good news...

Zander returned her warm embrace as he recalled all the events he encountered in more than two years... He was excited to know martial arts to protect her but he end up being a punching bag instead! Beatrix told him about the General's discovery but he did not lose hope or more like he does not want to give up in front of her... He cannot look so weak and cowardly in front of his wife so he chose to continue and stand up even though his poor body is screaming to pass out with every hit that he would take! He cannot lose his face in front of his beloved wife! He knows that it is probably futile but he still tried with everything he got! As expected, he became a target practice or punching bag by the General's trusted men before he would lose consciousness...

Due to the call of nature, he would wake up in the wee hours of the morning and see her beside him... She is embracing him like she is trying to comfort and protect him! His heart would immediately feel the warmth and extreme satisfaction... After doing his late-night personal business, he would happily stare at her sleeping form and observed. He never grew tired of looking at her, smelling her natural sweet scent, and feeling her comforting warmth beside him. He would stay like this until it is time to prepare for the court meeting again... Thus, his weak and groggy feeling as well as the dark circles under his eyes never go away!

He did not expect that other people would notice but the two princes are very observant and attentive! When they asked him about his complexion, especially about the bruises and cuts on his body, he became very embarrassed and reluctant to tell them the whole story so he said to them that he and his wife just had a challenging and exciting night...

He was not lying! It was truly challenging and exciting to be taught by a very beautiful and intelligent wife every night then she would also cheer for him during sparring and sleep beside him every time he would be knocked out! That is why every night, he would try and try and try knowing that after he would fall, she would be with him and embrace him... It was truly a challenging and exciting night, wasn't it?

Beatrix stopped embracing him and look at him seriously.

"Now, what is your plan?" She asked him, feeling happy and excited about his promotion.

"You said that you want to travel outside the capital... I asked for a three-month vacation from the Emperor. Would you like to go outside the capital and see several beautiful sceneries with me?" He grinned sheepishly.

She giggled and replied sexily, "When you are being so adorable... How can I refuse?"

Zander and Beatrix went outside the capital after obtaining the approval of General Ardor and Lady Andrea. The General insisted that they should bring several hidden guards to protect them on their journey. To give the general and his wife peace of mind, the married couple agreed.

They went to the countryside and chose to be one with nature. Beatrix is very happy and comfortable because they are already far from the capital. She would not need to cover her face with a veil and could finally breathe fresh air and see beautiful places without the fear of being discovered by any members of the imperial family! They did not stay in one place. They traveled from one place to another place because they knew that Zander would not be able to easily ask for a long vacation in the future...
