Beatrix slept so well that night and when she woke up at dawn, her extreme emotions last night finally subsided. She remembered their exchange of words while taking a bath and cleansing her mouth. Suddenly, she realized that the surroundings felt so quiet and lonely... She felt that something seems amiss but she could not figure it out!

He was so drunk last night...

She thought sadly as she recalled what happened last night. She decided to eat breakfast first but the memories of her and Zander eating together suddenly invade her mind. She suddenly became so worried about him...

He is probably having the worst hangover this time.

"Where is my husband? Is he already awake?" She asked her servants but immediately noticed the weird exchange of looks from them so she gently asked, "What's wrong?"

The servants look at each other again. They seem to be pushing each other to answer her question. In the end, the highest-rank servant nervously explained, "Young Lady, you did not remember that you ordered the guards to silence the Young Master last night?"

"Oh, yes! I remember that he was so noisy last night and my head was aching so much so I ordered the guards to..." Her eyes widened with intense dread when she finally realized what happened!

Damn! I forgot that they are my father's men, not my regular servants! They have a different understanding and definition of silencing someone! They mistook my simple order to make him quiet in the meantime into making him stay quiet forever!!!

She hurriedly stood up and yelled, "Where are the guards last night?!!"

The guards immediately lined up horizontally with no visible fear or worry in their expressions or actions.

"What did you do to Zander?!" She asked angrily in an authoritative voice.

The leader immediately answered, "To answer Young Lady, the former Young Master was properly disposed of last night as per instruction!"

"What?!! Where is he now?!! Take me to him!!!" She went ballistic when she confirmed her fear.

"Young Lady, we threw him last night to a very high cliff nearby. He is probably being devoured by hungry predators now." The leader calmly and indifferently replied.

"I do not care!!! Take me to him!!!" She yelled angrily as her heart is beating so fast now. She is not sure if it is because of worry, anger, fear, or a combination of the three!

Beatrix lost her last ounce of hope when she saw the extremely high cliff that they are talking about. From the looks of it, she feared that it is truly impossible to survive! Her tears begin to fall on their own and she slumped to the ground beside the cliff...

Zander, I am so sorry! I did not mean it! I am so stupid! This is all my fault!!!

She cried for a moment until an idea flashed in her mind...

Stupid! Don't cry yet! You are not even sure if he is truly dead or still alive! Find him first!

She immediately wipe her tears and turned extremely serious. Normally, she looks like a fragile flower but this time, she emits a dangerous and authoritative aura that was impossible to ignore by the men who had seen bloody battles and killed countless people...

"We need to get down there and look for him! Dead or alive, I want to see him!" She ordered seriously.

The guards' martial arts are of superior quality so they easily got down with her. It also did not take them a long time to find Zander's location in that vast forest below the cliff. Beatrix and the men found him dangling upside down on a tree! His torn clothes and one of his feet got stuck on tree branches! They immediately retrieved his limp form and placed him on the ground. The military physicians immediately check for any signs of life... 

She is silently praying and asking heaven's favor to let him live. She made a vow to herself that she will no longer push him away if he survives! This situation made her realize her true feelings for Zander all this time... After the physicians checked his condition and gave her a favorable report, she could not help the tears from falling again but this time due to relief and extreme happiness! She embraced him tightly while secretly thanking heaven that her father's men failed to kill her dear husband!

From this day forward, we will live as husband and wife, Zander!

Zander slowly opened his eyes. He recalled the scenario last night... The guards covered his mouth and took him away by force! They dragged him and pushed him into what looked like a very deep and scary abyss! As he fell, he thought that he is going to die but even at that moment, he still wish to see her even for the last time! He closed his eyes and prepared for a painful impact! Soon, he felt the pain being inflicted on different parts of his body! That was the last thing he remembered before he lost consciousness... Now, it seems that heaven granted his last wish because he is seeing her!
