"Celestial Sister, you are so bad... Why did you give them an even more difficult test?" Phi declared when the two trainees left after receiving another test. He laughed boisterously when he walked up to his beautiful senior, "Tell me honestly... " He leaned closer to her and whispered, "Do you want them to pass or not?"

She ignored him and did not provide a reply so he decided to tease her instead. He had been thinking his other celestial brothers failed miserably for asking her hand in marriage so why not try a different approach by stealing her lips in marriage?

He instantly bridged the gap between their lips but before he could successfully capture her lips and have a taste, she swiftly conjured a ball of pure energy and used it to kick her naughty celestial brother out of her residence and send him to the farthest universe!

"Celestial Sister... Why are you so cruel?!! I am only joking... " He sent his grievance telepathically.

"Hmph! That will teach you a lesson!" She replied telepathically and smirked as she observed the incredible speed of his recession. She knew he would not die but he could also not immediately come back to pester her.

Her delighted emotion was immediately replaced with extreme sorrow and helplessness when she realized she wiped out her residence too!

She wanted to cry but could not... Her residence was one of a kind. It was made up of a special type of vitality that could only be harvested when a mortal drew his or her last breath...

How can she collect that much energy to rebuild her residence? Does she have to kill billions just to rebuild her grand residence? That was the easiest solution but of course, she could not do it...

This means I need to oversee more strictly from now on! I would wait patiently for someone to kick the bucket and then I would collect every last drop of vitality until I could gather the exact amount of energy to rebuild my residence!

She hurriedly scanned who are the people scheduled to perish very soon and shortly, her mood improved when she found out that day was the expected massacre of imperial lineage so she immediately left the celestial realm and eagerly went to the mortal realm to reap souls and do some diligent harvesting.

The scene she saw was not new to her. From the beginning, she already witnessed all the good things as well as all the evil things mortals could do to each other so like any other day of rebellion and bloody massacre, she calmly made her way through the crowd of two forces busy slashing, stabbing, cutting, and decapitating their enemies.

She instantly opened the portal to the land of the dead and swiftly harvested the last remnant of vitality before reaping the souls and letting them enter the bright light. It felt like fate and destiny helped her so much at that time. She harvested a lot more than any normal day from early evening to another evening until sunrise came. She peeked at the meager amount of her harvest and sighed helplessly as she figured out that she still had a long way to go before she could complete the necessary amount to rebuild her residence. She teleported to the location of the last six people who were scheduled to die on that day...

She reappeared inside a secret chamber where an empress in her forties was dying from massive blood loss after successfully giving birth to a premature baby boy. Like the rest, she did complete harvesting before she led the empress' soul to the bright portal. While a young physician, midwife, and two maids were doing their best to revive the empress, she observed the very tiny and wrinkly newborn baby. His delicate movements and pitiful weak cries tugged at her heartstrings, making her stop and hesitate to proceed. The enemy soldiers entered the secret chamber and killed the physician, midwife, and two maids before planning to exterminate the last member of the fallen imperial line.

Before the soldiers could ruthlessly kill the newborn baby, she intervened and knocked their light out! She hesitated whether or not she should pick up the baby or leave him be, but in the end, great worry and compassion ruled inside her heart as she knew that place would soon be overrun by numerous enemy soldiers and they would never hesitate or feel mercy for the life of this tiny person.

She concentrated and her massive energy withdrew to her inner core, making her other parts vulnerable to physical attack but that was the only way she could hold the baby without killing him in the process. Her heart raced immediately as indescribable joy filled her soul when she held the infant in her arms! She had a genuine smile on her face as she looked at him tenderly. It felt like time stood still for her and at that exact moment, she voluntarily let her guard down and someone successfully made it inside her heart...
