Prince Andrew is greatly weakened after he sent his brother to a place he would not be able to return but even in this state, he immediately went to the general's mansion to pick up his beloved wife, Beatrix. 

On the outside of the general's mansion, the guards dared to ignore the escorts that he assigned to announce his arrival. They did not let his carriage come inside the mansion immediately and he could tell that they are intentionally making him wait outside the gate more than what is necessary. He understood that they are very loyal to the general and they are just following their master's orders. 

Inside the general's mansion, General Ardor and Lady Andrea did not hide their displeasure towards him. The two are still seating in their seats and did not bother to greet him. Worse, they did not even offer him a seat. He already expected this type of treatment because his new in-laws hate him so much!

"Father... Mother... Thank you for receiving me!" He greeted them politely.

General Ardor wants to beat him to a pulp and then flay him alive but his wife held his arm. He knows what it means so he restrained his anger.

"Your Highness, please don't thank us! We just don't have a choice..." Lady Andrea said it politely but her glare and words contained more barbs than the whip that was used on him last night.

Prince Andrew could not blame them. After all, he gave them a hard time so he understands this reaction is normal. He did not let it stop him from trying to reconcile with them...

"Father... Mother... I brought several gifts for the two of you. I hope you will accept it." He presented all of his carefully selected gifts for the couple.

The general treated him like air while the lady of the house ordered to the servants to receive it and then throw it outside the mansion! 

Prince Andrew did not comment on it but when the silence became too long and too awkward between the three of them, he decided to break the silence and ask the only thing that matters to him at that time, "Where is Beatrix? Why is my wife not here yet?"

"Hmph! If you can't wait, you can leave! No one will stop you!" The general grumpily answered.

 "Father, I am just asking. I am not complaining." He calmly replied to his father-in-law. He is there to pick up his beloved wife, not to get himself into another disagreement with his in-laws so he decided to lengthen his patience for his wife's sake. 

Soon, Beatrix arrived in the receiving hall and witnessed her father's angry expression. She shook her head to her father, indicating to just let it go and not cause any more trouble on her behalf.  Her mother immediately cried and they embraced tightly! She wiped her tears but when her father embraced her too and then whispered to her, "You could always come back..." She could no longer control the unbearable pain inside her heart! She bowed to her parents and went inside the carriage, not saying anything to anyone anymore! She feels very guilty... She tried her best to escape her doom and dragged other people into her mess! The worse part is it seems futile in the end...

"We will go now, Father and Mother!" Prince Andrew also said goodbye to her parents.

"Do not call us Father and Mother! You are not our son!" General Ardor angrily spat after seeing his daughter trying to hide the pain and fear inside her heart.

"Yes, Father-in-Law!" He said and then immediately join Beatrix inside the carriage. He is secretly worried the general would settle the score with him that day. He truly feels so weak after using that ability but he would never want to postpone the opportunity to bring his Beatrix back into their home. Thankfully, his new mother-in-law and beloved wife prevented that from happening! He knows that his in-laws will probably never forgive and accept him but he will still try... Just like he will never give up trying to earn her love and acceptance in this lifetime!

When they arrived at his mansion, he could see her strong disappointment and disapproval when he informed her that they will be sharing the same courtyard and will be sleeping in the same room but he will never give her another chance to evade him in this lifetime! Several years were already wasted... This time, he will never allow the incoming years to be the same! 

That night, he excitedly joined her on the bed and embraced her tightly! He feels so happy she is finally his lawful wife! He feels very contented that he could now legally hold her and kiss her... She is his woman now and he could make love to her anytime! He wants to do it but when he felt her tremble from fear and anxiety, he decided not to force her.

"Relax... I will not do anything. Just let me hold you..." He said as he hugged her and inhaled her familiar fragrance. He decided to immediately sleep to control the intense desire she is giving him at that time.
