Prince Anders did not waste time! He used his bare hands to retrieve the burning object from the fireplace! He ignored the burning sensation in his hands as he tried to extinguish the fire and save his most precious treasure! He did everything but it was already too late! The painting burned and nothing was left except the charred remnant of its frame! He gritted his teeth and clenched his burned hands while his body trembled due to immeasurable pain and anger!

"Your Highness, let me clean and treat the burns in your hands." Princess Lizbeth said gently after she recovered from the shock of being pushed aside violently and then witnessing his careless method of saving the object.

He did not respond and remained quiet for a long time. His masterpiece was destroyed! To others, that was just a piece of beautiful art but to him, it embodies his burning hope and secret dream! It is a vital part of him and a driving force in his life!

This woman destroyed my most prized treasure! She destroyed my hope, my dreams, my life! I tried to be fair as much as I could! I let her dominate every part of the mansion except this sole courtyard but she chose to invade my personal space! I never lied to her! I never gave her false hope! I have been very honest and clear from the start but she keeps on throwing herself at me! She keeps on annoying me and testing my limits all the time! On several occasions, I was tempted to end her life so I will be single and free again but I did not! I tried to be kind and patient... Contrary to what other people think, I tried to give our marriage a chance but every time that we are together, I could not feel anything for her... No love... no like... not even lust! Truly nothing! Is it my fault that I cannot feel something special for her? I could not be a husband to her but I provided for her other needs... I even gave her some extra so that she would just leave me alone but she did not! She was never contented! She wants more than I could give! She became so greedy! Now, she dirtied my courtyard with her presence and destroyed my most important possession!!!

He angrily grabbed her neck and used light pressure to choke her! The force is enough to impede the entry of air into her lungs. If he applies more force, he would break her neck and kill her already! He wants to end her life using his bare hands but he controlled himself! He has a good plan...

"How dare you enter my courtyard, especially my bedroom! How dare you destroy my most beloved possession! You are surely overestimating yourself!!!" He declared angrily with a cruel glint in his eyes and a mocking smirk on his lips. His eyes are colder and darker now as she tries to fight him and survive!

"I do not love you! I never want to marry you! I told you from the start! I warned you to stay away from me but you never took it seriously! Do you think my Imperial Father and Imperial Mother could protect you?!!" He chuckled this time as he looked at her widening and reddening eyes due to suffocation. She looks very frightened and desperate while she tries to remove his hand from her neck but he did not loosen his hold or apply more force. He wants her to hear everything before he sends her to hell!

"I tried to treat you as good as I could and I even chose to avoid you so we could have a peaceful separate life but you truly love to anger me to death so I will end this fuckery once and for all! I want my freedom back!!!" He declared vehemently to her. The princess helplessly clawed his hand holding her throat! She wants to reply and beg for mercy but she cannot even breathe!

"Do not worry... I will not torture you even though I want to! Consider this as me giving you mercy! Now, look into my eyes and listen to my voice..." He said as he looked straight into her soul and commanded, "I order you to stay out of my sight always! When you exit my courtyard tonight, you must appear happy and excited in front of everyone. In the morning, visit your maternal family and happily invite them for a week-long vacation and celebration in the forest! Spend your days with them normally... Never let them suspect that you have a big surprise for them... On the last day, make them witness your demise!!!" He said as he issued a death sentence to finally get rid of his legal wife and earn his freedom once again! He smiled gently when he removed his hand from her neck. He silently waited for her reply...

The princess stared at him absentmindedly for a long time. She suddenly became an empty shell. It appears that she forgot that she was gasping for air earlier. Finally, she blinked several times and said obediently, "As you wish, Master!" She said it excitedly like she gave her approval to something so natural. Her appearance looks normal and even cheerful now. It was the complete opposite of her chaotic thoughts and emotions earlier.

"Good!" He said contentedly when he confirmed that mind control was successfully applied.
