Prince Andrew failed to convince the general to help him so he used another strategy... He noticed that his brother was very successful in getting what he wants by using deception and dirty tricks so he decided to beat him at his own game!

One day, he surprised everyone when he suddenly became interested in the marriage of the state. He became proactive in the preparation. He also gave his suggestions on how to make everything grander... 

"First Son, I am very worried that you would not understand my decision but now I am so glad that you seem fine..." Emperor Claudius felt relief when his first son finally showed positivity after some time.

Empress Alyna did not say anything and only embraced her first son. She knows deep inside that this situation is not easy for him but since he decided to accept his imperial father's will, she will support him! She hoped that he will learn to love his future wife and find true happiness in the future...

When the two brothers were left alone, Prince Anders immediately voiced his thoughts, "Imperial Brother, I am very glad that you finally accepted it with all of your heart... But, why the sudden change?"

His brother's tone seems gentle and thankful but he knew better... This reaction means that his brother is extremely skeptical about his sudden change so he faced him and said, "I carefully thought about it and suddenly realized that marrying the princess of Cloud Empire will give me more benefits and a more promising future than marrying a mere daughter of a subordinate... Imperial Brother, you are right! We should not fight over simple or insignificant matters!" He declared to his brother to deceive him but when he turned around, it felt like a lightning suddenly strike him dead! All of his strength vanished at the same time and coldness immediately swept all over his body!

Damn...

He thought when he discovered that Beatrix was behind him all along and judging from her expression, she heard every word that he said... Now, he realized why his sly imperial brother suddenly asked him out of the blue! He laid a trap and he fell for it!

Dumb! Stupid! Idiot! Why didn't I notice that she is very near?!!

He silently cursed inside his mind and was also wondering why his ability to detect the presence of another person failed him this time! They say that to fool your enemies, you must also fool your friends... When he bade farewell to his brother and acted like she was nothing to him, he did not know who fooled who... He immediately left and did not say anything. He did not dare to look at her any longer or else his true feelings will betray him and his true intention will be exposed! Since he already started this, he will see to it until the end...

The next day, Prince Andrew became the talk of the whole capital as the people saw the extremely long line of precious betrothal gifts leaving the capital going to the neighboring empire... 

When his gifts reached Cloud Empire, Princess Madeline became the envy of every woman of the Cloud Empire! It is greatly believed that the quantity, quality, and value of betrothal gifts that a bride receives from the groom are like an unspoken declaration of how much he loves his bride. It is like a mirror of how much he values his bride as his future wife and mother of his future children...

At first, Princess Madeline is against the marriage arrangement but when she saw the portrait of the prince she is going to marry, she suddenly looked forward to her marriage... Now that she is seeing the long line of precious betrothal gifts from him, she could not help but nod and smile in satisfaction in front of other people but inside her bedroom, she giggled and rolled on her bed due to extreme excitement!

A few days after that, Prince Anders also sent his betrothal gifts to the general's mansion. He made sure that his betrothal gifts are more precious and the line is longer than what his brother sent to the princess of Cloud Empire! He would never let his future Princess Beatrix feel humiliated and inferior to Princess Madeline of Cloud Empire! 

"Beatrix, I am very sorry that it took me a long time to send my betrothal gifts... The truth is handpicked everything before sending it to you." Prince Anders honestly and lovingly explained to his beloved woman and future wife. 

Beatrix looked at him seriously and said, "No, it is alright! I am not after the betrothal gifts... Even if you give me one item or nothing at all, it does not matter! What I want is true love, sincerity, and fidelity..." She smiled at him... At that time, she is both happy and sad!

She is happy because Prince Anders did not change at all but deep inside, she is also sad because of Prince Andrew and Zander...
