"You knew... Of course, you knew..." He mumbled before laughing hysterically. When he finally stopped, he proudly confirmed, "Oh, yeah! That's right! I would never let my empress leave me and our son so you could go back to that asshole!!!"

"Viktor! Watch your mouth! He is your imperial uncle! Don't forget that he fed you and raised you! Stop calling him names!!!" Her anger suddenly ignited and she was not able to control it. She saw his expression darken even more and his jaw clenched very tightly. She felt guilty for rubbing salts into his wounds but there were things she could not just ignore.

"I disowned that man long ago. Don't mention his name or my past connection with him." He said with conviction before walking towards the door.

"Viktor..." She gently called his name and when he stopped on his track, she said in resignation, "I understand if you hate me now... I would also respect your decision if you don't want to have anything to do with me. For what it's worth, I am truly sorry..."

He was very still for a moment before he finally replied, "I need to think about this... I am very hurt that you just left and also very disappointed that you threw away our only chance... However, hate is... such a strong word!" He proceeds toward the door but abruptly stops in front of it to say, " And please, my name is Valentine now."

After that, he instantly opened the door and left her alone inside the room.

He went out of the palace and got inside the maze. The complicated twists and turns as well as the darkness and coldness of the night reflects the darkness and chaos inside his heart. Suddenly, someone appeared in front of him like a gust of wind. He did not immediately see the newcomer's face but he detected the familiar essence so he remained at ease where he was standing. Before the newcomer could perform the customary greeting, he impatiently sent a warning by hurriedly lifting his hand to cut to the chase. He is in a very bad mood!

"Errol, I don't have time for some chitchat. Just hand it over to me and proceed with your report!" He couldn't help but raise his voice a little. The current situation made him very mad and now his eagerness to obtain that extremely important object once again and finally hear some good news increased exponentially.

"Your Majesty... are you okay? Do you feel unwell?" Errol asked hesitantly when he saw his master's dark expression.

"Argh! I said I don't have time for that! Just tell me you already sank my Imperial Uncle's fleet and he is now buried deep in the ocean together with all of his lackeys!" Valentine said through gritted teeth and looked at his subordinate vehemently.

"Huh? Whose... fleet?" Errol was so confused. As far as he knew, Emperor Valentine and Princess Gertrude were the only surviving members of the Solaris imperial family.

"I said, 'My Imperial Uncle'! Who else?!! Goodness! When did you become this dense?!!"

"Apology, Your Majesty. I just did not know you have another kin..."

Valentine immediately shook his head when he realized his mistake. It seems the past and present memories are overlapping one another. He needed to clear his thoughts.

"What I mean is... the new Emperor of the Sky Empire... He is the one I'm referring to." He tried to correct his previous statement.

"What?!! The new Emperor of the Sky Empire is your Imperial Uncle?!!" Errol was surprised by the revelation but the other person was even more horrified by the statement.

"Hell No!!! He is not my Imperial Uncle, you idiot!!!" He hurriedly and nervously denied.

Errol became speechless while staring at his master's abnormal behavior. He never saw him this mad, panicked, and agitated.

Valentine also realized the absurdity of his reaction so he closed his eyes and sighed deeply to become more in control of his thoughts and emotions...

"Errol... I'm just... I'm just... Just don't mind me, okay?" He spoke calmly before looking at his trusted subordinate to ask seriously, "Did Emperor Andrew of Sky Empire and his fleet experience a crushing and humiliating defeat before tragically sinking to the bottom of the ocean..?"

"About that..." Errol gulped after seeing the dangerous glint in the eyes and hopeful expression on his emperor's face.

Of all the time in the world, why did he have to be in a very bad mood? How am I going to break it to him?

"Our ships are bigger, greater in numbers, and more advanced. Our men are more numerous, have better gears, and specialized maritime training. We are also strategically located and have access for more backup just in case. In general, we are only waiting for them to come and fall inside the trap... Don't tell me you still failed!"
