"That's game!" Rainbow declared, standing over an exhausted Twilight. She laid flat on the grass field after tripping in attempt to score a goal and was panting heavily.

The other four girls crowded around Twilight and stared at her in sympathy.

"I really thought you were going to...
pull it off there in the end!" Rarity commented unhelpfully, followed by an awkward laughter. The other girls glared at her until her laugh slowly dragged out into silence.

Twilight still breathing loudly slowly sat up and placed a hand to her head knowing there's no way she'd get Dash's help now after that train wreck.

"So what's the plan?" Rainbow said, shocking Twilight. "How can I help you be princess instead of Sunset Shimmer?" Dash continued, offering a hand to help pull Twilight off the ground.

"But...I...lost!" Twilight tried replying, but as she was still out of breath, long deep inhales followed each word.

"Of course you lost, I'm awesome." Dash replied smirking and pointing a thumb at herself. "But i'm not going to help just anyone try and beat Sunset Shimmer. If i'm gonna help someone they gotta have determination and perseverance, and you just proved u got both of em!" Rainbow continued, lightly punching Twilights arm.

Twilight opened her mouth to respond but before she could say anything, Rarity cut into the conversation. "This is nice and all but we really must get off this sweaty field and go somewhere else to plan!"

Twilight closed her mouth and smiled softly, sweat still dripping down her face. She brought up her forearm and wiped it away, slowly nodding her head in agreement.

The little bell on the door rang as the six girls entered the cafe next to their school. Many other students they knew were wandering around the grounds and coming in and out with coffees and cookies. The girls headed over to the sage green couch in the corner of the room as it was the only seating big enough for all of them. But on the way there they were interrupted by a familiar group of people.

"Hey Dash!" Spitfire called from the other side of the room, slowly getting up and running to meet her. A few others followed closely behind and waved Rainbow over.

"Hey guys," Dash said, changing direction and walking over to them.

Rarity motion to the girls to go sit down on the couch as the athlete strayed from the rest. Applejack eyed Dash as she straddled the chair closest to the group of athletes and watched Rainbow converse with her friends. She craned her neck, trying to eavesdrop on what they were saying. She successfully caught most of the words being spoken.

"Since when are you hanging out with them Dash? I thought you and Applejack were done." Spitfire whispered.

"Yeah and after you guys broke up, you were miserable." Gilda added.

Lightning nodded in agreement. "We don't want you to get hurt again, you should stay away from her."

"Woah woah woah calm down, It was just a huge misunderstanding. Turns out it was all Sunsets fault. And anyways we're not back together, we're just friends for now." Rainbow explained, making motions with her hands.

"For now?" Gilda asked raised an eyebrow.

Rainbow realised what she said and was about to jump in and defend herself but Spitfire spoke first.

"Well, we're glad you guys are good now..." Spitfire said unconvincingly, flashing Gilda and Lighting a glance, raising her eyebrows, communicating in a language only they understood.

"What is it? You're hiding something..." Dash said slowly, narrowing her eyes at Spitfire.

"Nothings wrong Dashie, anyways you should go back to your friends, they're waiting for you." Spitfire replied, nodding her head in the direction of the couch and slowly turning around to walk back to their larger group. But before she could take a step. Rainbow grabbed her arm and swung her around to face her again.

"What is it, what aren't you telling me."

"It's nothing Rainbow just chill out."

"No you're telling me what it is."

Gilda stepped forward and pushed Spitfire out of Rainbows grasp. "Fine we'll tell you, but you'll be mad."

"I dont care, I can take it."

"Well, it's just that..." Gilda looked at Lightning, scared to continue, as if she lost all her confidence for a split second.

"Spit it out." Dash growled.

"Okay okay...It's just...think of what hanging out with them will do to your reputation...Applejacks grandmother works at the cafeteria, that's kind of pathetic, I mean she probably can barely afford to go here. She was never good enough for you anyways. Pinkie Pie is so annoying, she just never stops talking, and she's always throwing confetti everywhere, it gets all in my hair. almost no one likes her. And whenever we get group projects with Fluttershy she's IMPOSSIBLE to talk to, she's so quiet, I don't understand what's wrong with her. And don't get me started on Rarity-"

"Okay Gilda that's enough." Spitfire stopped her before she went out of control as her voice was slowly getting louder. Someone might hear them. She looked at Rainbow and awaited her reaction.

Rainbows face was still and impossible to read. Spitfire knew it went too far. "Rainbow, it's just we want the best for you and-"

"No you're right," Rainbow cut in.

"Wait what...?" Lightning gasped, her jaw dropping open.

Dash grinned and continued. "You're completely right, i'm too awesome for all of them. You guys are way cooler."

"Glad we talked some sense into you." Gilda replied pridefully.

"But i'm still going to sit with them..." Rainbow said, crossing her arms. "It's because of some stupid thing to stop Sunset Shimmer from getting princess of the fall formal. You guys don't want to see HER get it again right?" She asked, raising an eyebrow in question.

"Well yeah, duh." Gilda said, rolling her eyes.

"Once i'm done with them i'll come right back to you guys. I swear." Dash promised.

"Alright well, don't spend TOO much with time them." Lightning mumbled, turning on her heel and heading back to the table of athletes with Gilda. Spitfire gave her a small smile and followed them leaving Rainbow feeling absolutely terrible for what she said. But she couldn't show it. Dash plastered a fake smile across her face and sharply rotated to walk over to the couch, only to meet a pair of hurt green eyes piercing right through her.
